Rey is a great tour guide! - Excellent well-structured trip! My tour guide, Rey was very nice, and was able to translate English to Mandarin for the Chinese travellers on board. Highlights were Lake Louise and Moraine Lake which you can swim in during summer, heaps of waterfalls, and incredible views. The accommodation was good too, each hotel had air conditioned rooms with a separate bathroom, however some didn’t have a kitchenette to cook cheap food, so I found myself eating out more which was costly.

Fantastic itinerary - wilderness, lakes and mountains - Emily our tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. She had information for every stop which was great and walkways knew what was happening when Aaron was a very friendly and safe driver. As I was with a Chinese group and don't speak Mandarin Emily ensured I had an English speaking guide at certain venues (,fantastic to see everyone's needs met). We saw so many amazing sights in the Rockies, great itinerary and excellent accommodations with great beds. So awesome to stay jn the middle of Banff

the only European in a Chinese trip.... - Little time - yet much to see and do. So this trip is defenitely intense in impressions. The nature is totally stunning and rewarding for long hours driving in a bus. I especially liked the hiking possiblities, when you were given like 1-2 hours "to do your thing". Jason, our guide is a total "Pro" - friendly, competent and very hard working to please everybody. Fluent in 3 languages: English, Mandarin and Cantonese, he managed the impossible ;-) And yes - this trip was tailor made for Chinese customers entirely. All meals took place in Chinese restaurants, the "background information" with a strong focus on Chinese contribution to build Canadian society, etc. Okay with me (European) - I adapted to the fact of being the only non Chinese speaking member of the group. Yet I would have loved to be informed ahead that this trip is made for Chinese customers and would have appreciated to get just as much information as the other customers who obviously had all printed scheduls of daily program. This is clearly the fault of Viator/management and had nothing to do with the excellent performance of Jason, our tour guide.

Misleading Tour Information and Unpleasant Experience… Avoid if You’re Not Chinese - We recently took this tour. Despite the beautiful sceneries we saw, the overall tour experience was quite disappointing. Firstly, Viator did not clearly indicate that this tour was catered specifically for Chinese travelers. This information would have been crucial for me as a non-Chinese traveler. The tour was heavily Chinese-centric, with all commentary and information primarily in Chinese, leaving me feeling excluded and uninformed. The tour heavily catered to Chinese tourists, with stops primarily at Chinese restaurants in Banff and Jasper town. Since we didn’t opt for the meal plan, we had to search for alternative places to eat. While the bus stopped near Chinese restaurants, we, as Indian travelers, had to walk a considerable distance to find suitable dining options. This often took a lot of time, and we were constantly anxious about being late and facing criticism. A particularly very unpleasant incident occurred when an older Chinese man shouted at us for being few minutes late, while another Chinese lady with her son also arrived late the day before received no reprimand. This blatant double standard was very frustrating. The only aspect that somewhat redeemed the tour was our guide, Jason. He was an excellent, thoughtful person who made every effort to accommodate everyone and ensure the experience was enjoyable despite the challenges. Jason even engaged in peace talks to help resolve tensions among the group, which was much appreciated. I believe it is essential for Viator to clearly disclose the primary audience of their tours and ensure that all travelers are treated with equal respect and consideration. I would strongly advise non-Chinese travelers to avoid this tour.
