- Gastown - Embark on a 1-hour journey to Vancouver’s iconic Gastown. Guided by a skilled photographer and tour guide, participants will discover how to capture stunning images of the area’s top spots while learning about their history, particularly during the evening. Stroll through the cobblestone streets of Gastown, featuring the renowned Steam Clock and other hidden treasures. The tour concludes with insights into the city’s finest dining and nightlife, along with suggestions for additional night photography locations. Photography techniques such as long exposure for DSLR cameras and night shots with camera phones will be covered. Alternatively, photo shoots can be arranged for those more interested in that aspect. While DSLRs are recommended, camera phones are also welcome. Comfortable walking shoes, layered clothing, a camera of any kind, and a sense of adventure are essential!

Join us on a one-hour journey to a must-visit spot in Vancouver - Gastown. Guided by a competent photographer and a seasoned guide, you’ll master the art of capturing exceptional images of the area’s most scenic locations while gaining insight into their history, particularly under the velvety blanket of the night. Take a leisurely stroll around the stone-paved alleys of Gastown, which houses the renowned Steam Clock, and other lesser-known treasures. The tour wraps up by providing you with a sneak-peak into the city’s top eateries and bars and suggesting other locales that are ideal for after-dark photography.
We will delve into photography techniques such as elongated exposure time for DSLR cameras and how to click nighttime images using mobile phones. If preferred, we can also conduct photo sessions rather than photography classes. We recommend bringing DSLR cameras, however, you are also welcome to use your mobile phone’s camera.
Don’t forget to wear comfortable footwear and layer up! Bring along a camera (any kind will do) and an adventurous spirit!
