A full-day, unforgettable shark experience grounded in conservation - I chose White Shark Projects because I wanted to do something completely new—something that felt like a true bucket list experience. I was also specifically looking for a company that values conservation and education, while taking care of the practical details like transportation, gear, and meals. This team delivered on all fronts. The day is a full experience. The drive is long and shared with other guests, but everyone is there for the same adventure, which creates a sense of camaraderie. We began at their station house in Gansbaai with a solid meal and a clear, informative briefing before heading out. The boat ride was choppy, but manageable. The boat itself is well-designed, with plenty of seating and a two-tiered layout. When you’re not in the cage, the upper level provides an excellent vantage point to watch for sharks and take in the experience. The crew handled everything efficiently, from fitting gear to helping us in and out of the cage, and gave clear direction while we were in the water so we knew exactly where to look. We saw brown sharks and a large ray. While I had initially hoped to see a great white, the team explained that recent changes in migration patterns, due to the presence of orcas in the area, have made sightings less likely. I appreciated their transparency and the broader conservation context they shared. Even without seeing a great white, the experience felt complete and worthwhile. What stood out most was the crew. They were patient, clear, and genuinely friendly, completely at ease in their roles and invested in helping us have a meaningful first experience with sharks. If anything, I would have loved more time in the water, which means I’ll need to go back. I would absolutely recommend this experience, especially for those interested in marine life and conservation. Just come prepared for a full day, and be flexible and patient with the conditions.

Full marks!! - What an awesome day with experienced crew who took great care of us. From the hotel pickup (included), to all the tips on safety and fitting of wetsuits… and most importantly, the brilliant up close encounters with sharks, I have to rate this trip full marks! Not only were we lucky to see sharks, but also sting rays and seals on our trip. The crew assisted with the whole process, captured the special moments on video and educated us about marine life in the Gansbaai area. Both my children, aged 12 and 13, were accommodated for also. Following the trip out, we were treated to a light lunch and towels and warm showers were also available for use. Highly recommended, with competitive pricing!

7 sharks and a ray - No guarantees with wild animals to see anything let alone the white shark we were hoping to see but didn't. That being said we did see 7 different large sharks and a very large ray while out. Everything we was very smooth and professional on the trip and they prepared us for everything. Highly recommend and maybe you will get the elusive white shark!

Felt more like a marine seaside expedition we saw do many different sharks, birds, fish and Seals. It was wild adventure. The team were great, it was easy to book. Reservations came in contact with us and we had a perfect journey with the driver who was confident a new the area well. We felt save and looked after. We were six in my family. When we got out on the boat they welcome the 6 of us to go in first. Which we did and when 2e came out we also had chance to dive twice after the other clients. Lots of space on board and only 20.people. we saw other boat with 60 people on boat so I knew I am with best company who.looked after us and all the clients. After 3 hours we got bk and had s great lunch and hotshots and hot food. We did buy the video for extra R350 and the end which we buy one and send to each other. The add a bonus of sending free high resolution images to us also after they add their logo which was nice touch. Good value and you can trust them

Very incredible experience! - Very incredible experience! Although it was not possible to see white sharks, as expected given the current situation of the ecosystem, we saw several cobbled sharks, as well as fox, giant rye and a flood of birds at the end. The staff left us calm all the time. It was possible to dive 2 times in the cage. Super recommend.
