Monastery of Agios Gerasimos - This monastery is one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in Kefalonia, attracting numerous visitors. A small church dedicated to Agios Gerasimos is built above the saint’s tomb and cave. The saint also planted a plane tree, which still stands at the monastery. On August 16th, the feast day of the saint, a grand litany is held to commemorate his passing, during which his sarcophagus is paraded and placed under the plane tree. 90 minutes
