Well worth booking this trip and good value for money. Really enjoyed it. - We were told of this trip by our daughter as she was looking for things to do when she here in August. So we thought we’d try in out. Picked up the bus at SF liens at 9.20x. Bus left on time and great journey to Mdina. Understanding there will be a bit of traffic! Got to Mdina at 10. It was quiet there so was able to walk round and look at thing’s comfortably. We were told by the driver where he’d pick us up at the times. Another great journey home via Valletta. So good to have the opportunity to ride on a Vintage bus again and the driver was very good. The booking process and communication was easy and very efficient. I’m sure our daughter will enjoy the tour too.

Great - A great experience on the little green bus. Lovely helpful driver and the times were as advertised. Easy to find the bus stops ,pre booking was much cheaper but still good value on the day. Enjoy. 😊

Mixed - Malta is a beautiful island that deserves a stop. There are very nice things to see, with a crush on Valletta (day or night). We were in the Gzira neighborhood (at the Urban Isle Hotel) and we could take nice walks by the sea and take land and sea transport (ferry to Sliema next door) to go further. As far as shipping is concerned, no problem. On the other hand, for everything about buses, it is another story😒😒😒. There are stops with timetables and destinations but they are rarely on time which poses organisational problems when leaving for the day. Moreover, if we stop, we do not know when the next one will pass (if it passes), and if we can get on because the drivers, if there are a few people, refuse to get on. Okay the fare is interesting (2 € each way, whether we go next or far, we took a 12 way map) but there is no service behind, and it gets colder. It ruined us two days which is a lot over 7 days. We prefer to visit, without always planning everything, and go to "adventure", discover by ourselves, but there, big disappointment so we did not do what we wanted to do😢😢😢 Otherwise, there are still all the organized outings that can be good but more expensive and with much less freedom to hang out but it can give ideas to visit (which we wanted to do but we could not because of the buses, as explained above). Do not hesitate to go and make your own experience, take good shoes, a little wool for the evening and a rain garment (umbrellas are useless with the wind and risk breaking😁. Have a good trip!

Do but without pre booking! - Interesting experience, nice way to visit Mdina. However it was disappointing to see that pre- booked tickets were more expensive than if you grab the bus without booking.

Overland in a vintage car - A cheap way to travel from Valletta to Mdina. A bit tight on the vintage bus, but it was worth the ride in the vintage car.

Nice vintage bus, boring tour - The green vintage bus has a beautiful appearance and the breeze that you receive throughout the vehicle is amazing. On arrival to the meeting point we realised that you could actually buy the tickets from the bus driver on the day which was 5 Euros per person for a return journey. The tour takes about 45 minutes to get to the Mdina where you are told to depart the tour. We were not made aware that the Mdina was an exit point and an additional part of the tour. We initially thought that it was just a driving tour to various areas of Malta. The bus times back from the Mdina were 12.25pm, 2.25pm and 4.25pm. Once you get to the Mdina there is not a lot to do unless you want to spend extra money to enter the museum, cathedral and Dungeon tour. When the weather is hot in Malta the Mdina is unbearable due to being quite open to the sun, so you will definitely need some form of sun cream, a hat, water and comfortable shoes. Would not do the tour again
