- Marsaxlokk Bay - Marsaxlokk is renowned for its numerous luzzus in the harbor. The parish church of Marsaxlokk, dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary - The Madonna of Pompeii, can be seen in the background. Traditional luzzi, along with larger and more modern vessels, line the sheltered inner harbor.
- Ghar Dalam Cave and Museum - Malta’s oldest prehistoric site, Għar Dalam, invites visitors to explore a time before human habitation, when animals like elephants, hippopotami, and red deer roamed the pristine Ice Age wilderness.
- Blue Grotto (Il-Hnejja) - A true natural marvel, the magnificent Blue Grotto is a network of six caves, offering the most breathtaking views and clearest waters in the Maltese Islands. Ideally located on the southern coast, it is one of Malta’s most popular natural attractions.
- Hagar Qim Temples - Ħaġar Qim is an ancient megalithic temple complex in Malta, dating from 3600–3200 BC, celebrated for its impressive size, religious and astronomical alignments, and unique architecture using massive limestone blocks. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it features a main temple with interconnected chambers and a separate smaller structure, and is notable for a solstice alignment that highlights a central stone. Although its exact purpose remains unknown, scholars suggest it was a sacred site for rituals and sun worship, as evidenced by findings like altars and fertility-related statuettes.
- Dingli Cliffs - Situated on Malta’s western coast, the Dingli Cliffs rise 253 meters above sea level, making them the highest point on the island. The cliffs are a popular attraction for tourists visiting Malta, offering a peaceful walk with stunning views of Filfa and the Mediterranean Sea.
- Rabat - Located in the southern part of Mdina, the charming city of Rabat (Malta) features a network of star-shaped streets and beautiful buildings with traditional wooden ‘Gallarija’ balconies. The city transforms from morning to evening as tourists return to their destinations, offering many attractions such as catacombs, churches, and Roman mosaics. It also boasts a well-deserved gastronomic reputation, with cafés and restaurants serving the finest Maltese cuisine.
A must-see when visiting Malta is the mosaics at the Domus Romana, a large villa dating back to the 1st century BC, which was covered by a Muslim cemetery during the Arab period in the 11th century. Another must-visit is Saint Paul’s Catacombs, dating from the 3rd century BC, used for burials for 500 years. Saint Agatha’s Catacombs are also worth visiting.
- Mdina Old City - Mdina is a fortified medieval town enclosed in bastions, located on a large hill in the center of Malta. The town was the old capital of Malta, and with its narrow streets, few inhabitants, and beautiful views over the island, it is truly a magical place.
