• Train Cemetery - The tour kicks off at 10:30 am from the Andes Salt Expeditions office in a Toyota Land Cruiser 4 × 4 WD. The first stop is the Train Cemetery, an excellent spot for capturing artistic photographs.
  Next, the group heads to the company’s base of operations to access the hygienic facilities, which include three bathrooms and showers for both men and women. Here, participants will also try on boots for the saltwater visit to experience the mirror effect and collect lunch for the group.
• Colchani - The tour arrives at COLCHANI, situated on the edge of the Uyuni Salt Flats and home to the Rosario Cooperative, which hosts 15 rustic salt factories. Visitors can observe the process of drying salt in ovens, crushing salt, mixing iodine with salt, and packaging it for national and medicinal use.
• Salar de Uyuni - The journey continues to the expansive Salar de Uyuni, covering an area of 12 square kilometers. Here, visitors will explore the salt eyes (large holes in the salt flat where saltwater emerges under high pressure), visit the world flags, view the Dakar monument, and enjoy a perspective photo session and entertaining videos with a professional expert driver guide. Lunch is served on-site, followed by a 15-minute walk on the salt flat before reaching Incawasi Island, located 120 km from Uyuni in the center of the salt flat. This is a prime destination for most salt desert tours, offering an extraordinary, otherworldly landscape filled with giant, medium, and small cacti, a flat white sea of hexagonal salt tiles, and stranded vizcachas (Andean rodents). Fish Island is an oasis with a unique and isolated ecosystem, featuring cacti up to 7 to 10 meters tall. • Salar de Uyuni - The tour continues across the salt flat for over 100 km to visit the saltwater and witness the mirror effect. The day concludes with a sunset viewing, accompanied by a snack of red wine, cookies, and Pringles, wrapping up the tour at 07:30 pm.
