La Paz - Uyuni (B, L, D)

La Paz Department - At approximately 7:00 am (subject to flight schedule), guests will be picked up from their hotel in La Paz and transferred to El Alto International Airport for a flight to Uyuni. The flight duration is about 45 minutes.

Salar de Uyuni - Upon arrival at Uyuni International Airport, travelers will be greeted by an English-speaking professional guide and a private driver. The day begins with a delightful American buffet breakfast at a popular local café. The adventure kicks off with a visit to an outdoor museum showcasing ancient and impressive field trains.

Isla Incahuasi - Entering the Salar via Colchani, visitors will witness salt processing and salt mounds, visit the salt hotel, and see the “eyes of water.” The journey continues to Incahuasi Island, known for its volcanic rock and giant cacti, offering an extraordinary viewpoint over the white salt plain.

Tunupa Volcano - The tour proceeds north to the Tunupa Volcano, offering views from the banks of the Salar de Uyuni and opportunities to spot flamingos.

Colchani - After enjoying a breathtaking sunset on the Uyuni salt flat, guests will return to Colchani to stay at a 4-star Salt Hotel, located on the edge of the salt flat with stunning views.

Colchani - Desierto de Siloli (B, L, D)

Salar de Uyuni - In the morning, the tour heads to Fish Island and then continues to Mala Mala Bay, on the opposite side of the Salar, to explore Galaxy Cave, a remarkable site with ancient burials and petrified cacti.

Laguna Cañapa - A visit to Laguna Cañapa offers the chance to see flamingos. Guests will arrive at Tayka Red Stone Hotel in a small town, where they will enjoy a unique dining experience featuring regional cuisine.

Laguna Hedionda - Known for the strong odor from its minerals, this lagoon is home to many flamingo species. To the south are the Cañapa, Stinking, Chiarkota, Honda, and Ramadita gaps, where large numbers of flamingos and other birds like geese and Andean gulls can be found. These lagoons are surrounded by snow-capped volcanoes with green skirts of brava straw, yareta, and thola.

Siloli Desert - Overnight stay at Hotel Tayka del Desierto, in private rooms with heating, located in the Siloli Desert.

Desierto de Siloli - Uyuni - La Paz (B, L)

Geiser Sol de la Mañana - Departure from the hotel is at 5:30 am. At dawn, the tour seeks out the famous Sol de Mañana geysers, arriving with the first light. This is the highest point of the route, at about 5000 meters.

Aguas Termales de Polques - These natural hot springs, originating from volcanoes, are perfect for swimming and relaxation in the arid desert. Despite the intense cold, visitors can see pools where the earth seems to boil with red, gray, and scarlet mud.

Arbol de Piedra - A fascinating rock formation sculpted by nature over time.

Laguna Colorada - Named for its coloration due to the minerals and algae it contains.

Laguna Verde - Also named for its coloration, this lagoon is located at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano. Visitors arrive just in time to witness the water change from emerald green to a duller shade. On the return, lunch is enjoyed at Laguna Colorada, a main nesting site for three flamingo species, where algae and plankton activated by solar radiation and wind give the lagoon and the birds’ legs and plumage a pink hue.

Uyuni - After exploring these wonders, guests return to Uyuni in private transport, which will take them directly to the airport for the flight back to La Paz. The flight departs at 7:30 pm and lasts 45 minutes.

La Paz - After a 45-minute flight, guests will arrive in La Paz, where private transport will be waiting to transfer them to their chosen hotel.
