Salar de Uyuni - After enjoying lunch in Colchani, the tour proceeds to the magnificent Salar de Uyuni, heading directly to a unique hotel constructed from salt, Playa Blanca. This is the only hotel permitted within the salt flats, surrounded by salt sculptures, flags, and the Dakar Statue. As the tour moves towards the center of the salt flats, participants can fully appreciate the expansive landscapes and engage in a fun photo session with the experienced tour guide, capturing creative perspective shots.
Necropolis & Museum Kawsay Wasy - A hike on Inca Wasy Island (Cactus Island) follows, where visitors can admire the giant cacti and coral rock formations. The hike is a loop of about one hour, leading to a summit with a stunning 360-degree view. After completing the hike, the tour heads west to the small village of Villa Candelaria for the first night’s stay. Before leaving the salt flats, a breathtaking sunset can be witnessed at its edge.
Upon arrival at the accommodations, guests can enjoy hot coffee, chocolate, cookies, and snacks. A delightful dinner is served during tea time.
Laguna Colorada
Laguna Colorada - Rising at 6:30 am, the journey through the highest and driest desert is filled with awe-inspiring landscapes of dormant volcanoes and colorful lagoons in Bolivia’s vast Andean desert. The diverse flora and fauna include llamas, vicuñas, viscachas, Andean foxes, and flamingos. These animals are most commonly seen in the Eduardo Avaroa National Park, which spans 720,000 hectares and is home to Laguna Colorada, a tour highlight. Additionally, the tour includes a visit to a volcanic crater to observe geological activity. Afterwards, the hotel and hot springs await.
Final Day
Salvador Dali Desert - The day begins around 6:30 am with a hearty breakfast of pancakes, yogurt, milk, cornflakes, and more, providing energy for the final day of the trip.
The first stop is the Salvador Dali Desert, followed by the Green Lake near the Chilean border, where guests can be dropped off at the immigration office. For those returning to Uyuni, the journey heads north, crossing stunning landscapes via a different route, with stops for stretching, restroom breaks, and lunch. The approximate arrival time in Uyuni is 5:00 pm at the office.
