This excursion was better than expected - Had a wonderful time with Turo. He is friendly, enthusiastic, helpful and always made sure everyone was happy. There weren’t time restrictions at each place we visited. All places we visited were culturally interesting. The BBQ was delicious with much variety, pork, chicken and fish and a variety of side dishes.

A full-day sampler of Taha’a - The tour operator pulled in 3 boats to handle the number of guests from our cruise ship, luckily, we needed up on the smallest boat, and had a small, fun group for the day. The stops were very informative, the sites were small and clearly set up to demonstrate the featured business (rather than being a vanilla plantation, it’s a site where you can see vanilla plants being cultivated in a small area), but all of the speakers were excellent and we learned a great deal about the topics: growing, harvesting and making vanilla extract, cultivating pearls and distilling rum. You could purchase items at each site. There was a stop to swim, unfortunately, there was a miscommunication and we thought we needed to reboard the boat, but the guides took some guests for a walk up the beach to drift snorkel back to where we were anchored. Everyone who went said it was fantastic. Then we went to a motu for lunch, which was made by the relatives of our boat captain and our guide. Our guide’s 10-year-old daughter also performed in the dance show, and it was wonderful. The the food was delicious and served with locally produced juice and water. We relaxed on the motu for a while and then it was time to head back to the ship. The entire day was longer than advertised, with no sense of rushing us, which was wonderful. We were back to the ship with no worry about departure time, making for a delightful excursion.

Excursion to do absolutely. - Perfect circuit, discovery of a vanilla grove of a pearl farm and to finish a really authentic rum each time we had clear explanations, perfect motu with an excellent meal congratulations to the cook. Snorkelling there is no word to describe all the aquatic fauna we have seen. A very nice day, thank you to Julien and his wife for a moment.

A great boat trip - A great boat trip: coral garden, swimming with sharks, impressive and secure! We also made some small local visits (vanilla, pearls, rum), interesting. The guide was super friendly, very pro and warm. The lunch was delicious, hearty and in a beautiful setting. A well-paced, varied and very pleasant day. I highly recommend!

Awesome tour!!! - This was a great tour! It rained a little early morning & eventually cleared up to sunny skies. Went to a local vanilla plantation, rum distillery & pearl farm. All very interesting. We drift snorkeled in the coral gardens & went to a beautiful motu for a great lunch & Polynesian show. Our tour guide was great & we enjoyed the views from the boat of the island. Last, we got to snorkel among the Black Tipped Reef Sharks! Double awesome! Highly recommend this tour!!!

Tahaa Was Awesome! - The tour goes on even though my wife and I were the only people. We were taken to places as described in the itinerary and more. The lunch was fresh and delicious and the Motu we ate at was private and quiet. This was a great tour conducted by a friendly and warm tour guide.

Highly recommended tour - Fantastic tour with a comfortable boat and many stops as shown in the description. In addition, there was a stop at the reef for shark watching and for the third swim or snorkel. The sharks are harmless. The staff was always very helpful and friendly. The food on a magical motu was really Polynesian and excellent Our most beautiful excursion of all excursions on 6 Polynesian islands! Klaus and Rita

High speed boating, Tahaa vanilla and pearl farms, and private buffet. - This was a fun excursion, if you have a large group of people try to arrive early. They use 3 boats to take everyone and our group of 6 got broken up with 2 people each going on different boats. We were late arriving, but weren’t warned of this in advance so just be aware. This is a family business, our captain was very friendly and welcoming, the boat ride over to Tahaa is done at a very fast speed, not a leisurely journey, it’s an exhilarating ride but very bumpy. So not for anyone that can’t handle the jarring of the boat hitting the waves and probably not good for young kids as it might scare them. Sit towards the back of the boat if you have spine or joint issues because the front of the boat gets the roughest movement. The vanilla farm we went to was very nice and it was interesting learning about the process of growing vanilla. The products they sell are pricey but there is a big selection of types of beans, oils, extracts, coffee, and soaps and souvenirs. The pearl farm was not as good of a stop. It’s really just a lecture about the process and an expensive store. If you are in the market for high end pearl jewelry you can buy in any town on the islands much cheaper. They aren’t showing you the oysters in the water or allowing you to buy an oyster to get the pearl from it, which would have been nice. The rum distillery was interesting, the rum tasting was good. The area where we were taken to swim and snorkel was beautiful, it was about 4 1/2 feet deep where we anchored. Wear a life jacket if you can’t swim because it is somewhat wavy and you have to swim to the shallow area to walk around. Make sure you have water shoes anytime you go in the water. The volcanic rocks and coral are sharp. More high speed boating to a private island for a Polynesian lunch buffet. There was fantastic entertainment, the food was delicious and the island was beautiful. The day ended with another 20-30 minute high speed boat ride back to Riatea.
