Better than the Disney ride because its real - The river at many points was just about as wide as the Disney ride, but a much more serene setting, only hearing the breeze through the trees and lush flora on both sides of the banks while taking in the views of the verdant mountains. I took my son on this easy paddle, but we wanted to go deep up river so we sometimes had to get out of the kayak to drag it over shallows. The owner Bruno picked us up at the airport (he also owns a lodge on the island.) Our guide was James who spoke English. He lives on the river and we learned a lot about the plants that we saw. We stopped and went for a walk at a botanical garden, saw three small waterfalls, and James picked us some coconuts that he opened for us so we could drink the refreshing juice.

River kayaking in French Polynesia - River kayaking was a great experience. Guide was knowledgeable, funny and kind. He had us stop at his home and brought us fresh coconut water and bought us fresh grapefruit at a stand along the river.

No space for us - Booked 24 hrs before. Attempted to contact via messaging on app to confirm details without reply. Went to meeting point only to find out they did not have space for us. We were offered a later time (1pm when we booked an 8:30). Didn’t work for us. Thankfully we were able to book other options at the welcome center not with this company.
