We chose to go on a private shark fishing adventure with our three kids. We were a little early and had the warmest reception from the front desk (I can't remember the young man's name but he was from London!). We were surprised and happy to see our Captain was already there ready to greet us. He was not only so kind and friendly but made our three kids feel so comfortable. The boat was very clean and all the equipment was so well organized (bait, hooks, etc.) for our fishing trip. We all loved our time and asked about a million questions. And of course we loved catching bait fish and sharks. On the way home, our daughter said, "Mom, going out with Captain Sanford was just like going out with our grandpa would be like." Since she never had the chance to go out on the water with her great-grandfather, hearing her say that completely melted my heart. Captain Sanford is no longer a stranger to us; he is someone who showed our family so much genuine warmth, care, and love. I am not sure I can write anything better than that. There are companies all over Hilton Head that do these types of tours - but only 1 Captain Sanford. A special thank you to our Captain and Outside Hilton Head for having the most friendly, professional staff that somehow makes you feel like family in just 3 hours. 10/10 recommend! 100% worth every dollar. Great Experience Shark Fishing with Our Son - If you are visiting Hilton Head with kids and looking for a special experience, I highly recommend booking a private fishing trip with Outside Hilton Head—and definitely ask for Captain Stamford. Our nine-year-old had an absolute blast, and we made memories we will be talking about for a long time.

Great Experience with Captain Max and Outside 4-hour Fishing Charter - My family did a 4-hour fishing charter with Outside last week during our 1st visit to Hilton Head. It was to celebrate my son's 13th birthday and was our first time fishing and Captain Max made it a great day for all. He was so knowledgable about the area so it was a great tour as well. And we had a lot of excitement on board, even catching a baby shark which my son is very proud of! Overall Captain Max made our experience withe Outside amazing... We will definitely book with him again when we return to Hilton Head...

Great way to see Hilton Head Island and spend time with family - Two years ago we did this charter as well while visiting Hilton Head and had a great experience (and a yummy supper of fish that night). We booked the same tour last week (4 hour fishing for 6 people). We had a great morning on the water with our family. Such beautiful scenery and we got to watch dolphins playing in several locations! Unfortunately, due to recent weather, the fish were sleeping that day, so we didn't catch supper, but our fishing guide Max worked so hard and did his very best to find the fish. We enjoyed visiting with Max, as he is a local island boy and so knowledgeable about the island.

Christmas Fishing Outing - Went out on this boat with 6 of us family members (3 in 30s; 3 in 60-70s) for a holiday outing. Good lowkey activity for all ages. Max was a great captain! He showed us all his best fishing spots and was determined for us to catch a fish. We had the best time!

Great family fun - This private fishing trip was excellent! We went with our two girls, 8 and 10, and our captain Max was fantastic with them. They saw dolphins, got to learn how to cast and caught lots of fish. We even came home with 2 fish for dinner! The trip was just the right length for us. Highly recommended.
