A licensed hiking guide from New York State, USA, will lead an exciting adventure hike, descending 400 steps to the Niagara River gorge. The journey follows the historic railway trail to the Schoellkopf Power Plant Ruins. The hike includes some narrow and rocky paths, offering excellent photo opportunities of the Niagara River. Upon reaching the power plant ruins, there will be time to explore independently. This site is also where the Maid of the Mist boats are docked during the off-season. An elevator will take the group to the gorge’s rim, and from there, the Discovery Niagara Shuttle will return everyone to the starting point. Participants can then choose to take an Uber to their next destination or enjoy a half-mile walk to Niagara Falls. The guide will assist in making the best choice for the group.
