During the hike, the guide will point out local flora and fauna. In June, Beargrass is in bloom, July brings Thimbleberries, and August is the season for Huckleberries. The canyon is also home to a variety of wildlife, including Moose, Elk, Mountain Goats, Black Bears, Pika, and Deer. Don’t forget your binoculars!
There are several scenic spots along the creek perfect for a tea break, with the nearest one just about 1 mile from the trailhead.
The guide is equipped with all necessary tea and hiking gear, a GPS communicator, safety equipment, and is certified as a wilderness first responder and in leave no trace principles.
The guide will also bring a backpacking stove to heat the water for tea!
