Awesome fun activity... must experience to believe it. highly recommend - Long Hollow Canopy Tours in Galena completely transformed our day into something unforgettable. My daughter and I had originally planned to visit a different attraction in Galena, but it was closed when we arrived. We quickly searched online for other options and came across Long Hollow Canopy Tours. That “backup plan” ended up becoming the highlight of our trip and a true once-in-a-lifetime experience for both of us. The course itself is outstanding. The tour includes 5 zip lines that take you through beautiful forest scenery, a fun swinging bridge, and then a finale that really stands out: a free-fall style jump from a 50-foot tower where a device safely slows your descent. For two people doing a zip line activity for the very first time, this sounded both exciting and intimidating. We were definitely nervous at the start and unsure of what to expect. What made all the difference were our guides: Tanner, Anna, and Gracie. They were the reason our fear quickly turned into pure fun. Tanner is a top-class professional when it comes to zip lining. He handled the training at the beginning, clearly explaining what to do, how to brake, how to sit, and what to expect at each line. On every zip, he was the “receiving” guide at the end of the line, ready to help each participant land safely. Some people came in a little too fast, others slowed down too much and didn’t make it all the way to the end. Tanner calmly and confidently managed both situations—catching and stopping those who came in with too much speed, and “rescuing” anyone who stopped short of the platform. On top of his skill and strength, he was extremely kind and encouraging. He constantly used positive, reassuring words that made everyone feel capable, safe, and relaxed. His attitude alone turned what could have been a scary first-time experience into something genuinely enjoyable. Working alongside him were Ms. Anna and Ms. Gracie, who were equally impressive. They took care of all the essential safety tasks—helping us get buckled in, clipping and unclipping the gear, adjusting harnesses and helmets, and making sure every participant was properly secured before each ride. Even though we didn’t know the technical terms, it was very clear that they knew exactly what they were doing and took safety seriously. At the same time, they were warm, friendly, and very patient. They joked with participants, made everyone feel comfortable, and created an atmosphere that felt more like being with family than with strangers. They also took excellent photos of everyone throughout the course. The pictures were so good that I ended up purchasing them after the activity, and I’m very glad I did—they capture the joy, excitement, and a bit of the nervousness we felt in the best possible way. By the end of the tour, both my daughter and I were not just relieved, but genuinely thrilled that our original attraction had been closed. If it hadn’t been, we might never have discovered Long Hollow Canopy Tours. Instead, we walked away with a shared memory that we’ll always treasure. The combination of a well-designed, thrilling course and an exceptional guide team made this experience truly special. We already find ourselves missing it and talking about it, which says a lot. Huge thanks to Tanner, Anna, and Gracie for making our first zip line adventure so safe, fun, and memorable. Their professionalism, kindness, and enthusiasm turned a random change of plan into an extraordinary day. We will absolutely be recommending Long Hollow Canopy Tours to friends, family, and anyone visiting Galena. If you’re even slightly considering it—go for it. You’ll be in great hands.

The BEST time!!! - I cannot say enough great things about this trip!! We were a group of 8 - all women. Half of us have a fear of heights, and two of us are almost 70 - and it was amazing. (In case you're wondering, the ladies who are almost 70 are active and love life and were scared to death but loved this so much!!) Aiden and Chai were wonderful and patient with us - so patient!! I even blamed Chai for the "corn challenge" (Aiden, we made it up, it wasn't Chai, it was me...). They were great sports the whole time and I recommend Long Hollow in Galena to EVERYONE!! Have fun, listen, and laugh and encourage each other. What an amazing time and amazing memories! Also - Galena. Where Illinois is beautiful!! Oh! And the woman who helped us at the desk and the guy who drove us out - also wonderful and so kind. I could not recommend this more!!!

Click In and Zip It! - Really fun time. The guides are very knowledgeable and make sure you understand all safety procedures. They are also willing to show you how to enjoy yourself. All gear is top-notch, I never worried about our safety. Each zipline progresses from the previous one. Really nice trails and time in the woods. Hang on and cannonball!
