The total experience was... - The total experience was cool. I will say there's a disconnect between the goggles and vision in game. Still so much fun.

Some bugs - We did two of these, and had very different experiences with both. I’d only recommend going on weekdays, never a weekend. Trick or Treat was pretty unbearable. Because the headset only shows you the 3D images through a horizontal rectangle, I found myself having to force myself to look down constantly, which made my neck hurt eventually. The images would blink out and vanish, not a black screen to indicate darkness, but no image at all. The story and mini games were pretty average. Pick up sparkling candy. Light pumpkins by touch, with a floating lighter that would accidentally give you a penalty for breaking the in game rules. Violently throwing candy at the monster kid trying to kill you, but missing. Because it wasn’t very responsive, it was a lot of wandering around and not being able to see anything, or thrown “items” not connecting. Everworld was only one act, and beautiful, if simplistic. This one has glasses instead of the difficult to see out of visor. They have a vertical rectangle that makes it much easier to see. I wouldn’t recommend going at busy times because it’s one large room with 8 people throwing their arms out and dodging. You WILL end up almost tripping over, hitting, or kicking small children that run into your path. You can see the room and people around you, with the image reflected over them, but sometimes not until it’s too late. By contrast, the separate games are in a private area, and throwing darts at targets incredibly fun. I’m glad that was the last activity that we did, because Halloween left me frustrated. I would absolutely play the games again. The immersive stories, they would be 80% improved if they weren’t just projected onto a square in front of you.

Dissatisfied - Went for my daughter’s 15th birthday. Our whole for a reason for coming to Chicago and her equipment was faulty. They gave her a new set halfway through her equipment was faulty again so she never got to finish because everyone else was done. Very disappointed but nice staff.

My wife and I attended... - My wife and I attended The Ever World expecting an immersive, almost VR-like experience based on the advertisements and videos. Unfortunately, what we got didn’t come close to what was marketed. The promo content seriously over‑exaggerated the experience, setting expectations that were never met. For $89 ticket, we expected something interactive, innovative, and truly immersive. Instead, it felt more like a lightly themed walkthrough with visuals that didn’t justify the price point. There was nothing remotely close to a VR experience, which is exactly what the advertising made it seem like. Honestly, for that amount of money, we could’ve gone to a movie, had snacks, and left feeling entertained. This experience just wasn’t worth the cost, and the misleading marketing made it even more disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this unless the pricing is lowered or the advertising becomes more honest about what’s actually being offered.
