- Dolby Theatre - This impressive building with its ornate pillars is a sight to behold. Constructed in 2001, it stands as one of Hollywood’s more recent landmarks. Film enthusiasts may recognize its interior from the Academy Awards! For more details about the theater, tap the Learn More stories.
- Musso & Frank Grill - In a world where restaurants frequently come and go, this grill has much to boast about. As Hollywood’s oldest restaurant, Musso & Frank’s has been thriving since its opening in 1919. Discover more in the Learn More stories.
- First National Bank of Hollywood - With 13 stories, this was the second tallest building in Los Angeles when completed in 1928. Tap the Learn More stories for additional information.
- First National Bank of Hollywood - This tower was built with high expectations during Hollywood’s booming era. The architects incorporated grand buttresses and an “Explorers” motif on the siding. The beehive above the doors symbolized the “beehive of activity” anticipated upon its opening. The top floors housed doctors, talent agents, and financial firms, while the bank occupied the ground floor.
- Guaranty Building - In 1923, Wilcox’s original church was demolished to make way for the 150-foot Guaranty Building seen today. It holds the distinction of being Hollywood’s first high-rise, though it lacks the glamour of its neighbors. It was designed as a straightforward office space, but its occupants were far from ordinary. Charlie Chaplin, Al Jolson, and other actors once had offices here!
- Hollywood and Vine - This block is located at one of L.A.’s most renowned intersections—Hollywood & Vine. Companies like Capital Records and CBS Studios began their journeys here!
- Pantages Theatre - Built in 1930, this theater is named after Alexander Pantages, a Greek immigrant who envisioned it. It harks back to a time when vaudeville was fading and highbrow films for the elite were emerging.
- Fonda Theatre - Look to the left ahead for the Fonda Theatre. Its large marquee makes it hard to miss! Dating back to 1926, it now serves as a prominent concert venue!
- The Egyptian Theatre Hollywood - The Egyptian Theatre is just ahead on our left, past the intersection. It’s another of Hollywood’s oldest theaters, established in 1922. Tap the Learn More stories for further details.
- 6724 Hollywood Blvd - The story of this hotel begins in the early 1900s with Christie, an auto-parts manufacturer from Michigan. Christie sold his successful car-top company to Henry Ford, seeking new ventures. This journey led him to Los Angeles as a real estate developer.
- The Hollywood Museum - At this intersection, consider a quick detour to the Hollywood Museum, located on our left across Highland Avenue. If you’re interested in seeing Hollywood memorabilia up close, this is the perfect stop!
- Madame Tussauds Hollywood - If you’ve seen celebrities posing with wax figures of themselves, it likely happened here! Before exploring the wax museum, learn about the woman behind it all in the Learn More stories.
- The Hollywood Roosevelt - Look for the tall white building on our left. That’s the Hollywood Roosevelt. This hotel is renowned for hosting Hollywood royalty. Tap the Learn More stories for more information.
