Rich art scene on the walls, superbly explained by art connoisseur - The tour was totally focused on some 20 murals in downtown Flagstaff. I found my guide, Jamie, very knowledgeable on Flagstaff, its history and its art scene. After the tour I returned to some of the locations to take better pictures. Interestingly, some of the murals were unveiled a few days ago, and thanks to Jamie I got to see them!

Amazing Mural Tour w/Jaime! - Jaime was fantastic! He brought such fun energy to the tour and kept us fully engaged from start to finish. We were especially impressed by his depth of knowledge. He knew many of the artists personally and shared incredible insights about the murals. Since Jaime has been involved in the community for years, he was able to provide great background on how support for the local artist community has grown and helped shape the historic downtown. He’s a wonderful communicator and made the entire experience super enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Highly Recommend - We had a great time walking Flagstaff’s streets and alleys and learning about the city’s murals. I’ve noticed the murals before, but not really looked at them up close. Our tour allowed us to look examine the artwork up close and learn the history of the mural, the artist, and the town. Jamey, our guide, was well informed, engaging, and fun. The tour was about 90 minutes and a mile long. Jamey pointed out little details that I might not have noticed (I was not aware that “Sound of Flight” on the side of the Orpheum extends all the way to the end of the building and includes a beautiful painting of the Grand Canyon complete with desert animals😃). The murals are beautiful and full of Easter eggs to uncover and enjoy! If you like art, history or a good story (or all three) this tour is for you.

Freaky Foottours Mural Tour - I have lived in Flagstaff AZ for the over 20 years and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the Freaky Foottours Mural tour. I am familiar with many of the art pieces since I pass by them a lot but it was interesting to slow down and take the full work in and hear more in depth information of who created them and how they came to be. It is exciting that these murals will get more appreciation and interaction from visitors and locals alike. Definitely recommend this as an activity to get a better view and perspective of Historic Downtown Flagstaff!

Locals will enjoy a closer look at Flagstaff! - As a local, it’s a pleasure to get to take a fresh look at your hometown! The Freaky Foot Tours guide pointed out details of several murals I had never noticed, as well as public art my eye often skipped over. I enjoyed some of the personal / artist insights from the community member who led the tour.

A must-do for any art/ history enthusiast! - While I have seen the murals around Flagstaff before in passing, learning about them made me appreciate each piece so much more! The history, meaning, and hidden secrets behind each work combined with being close up to the images made this my favorite tour I have ever taken. The best part was finding “easter eggs” hidden by the artists in some of the paintings… I would have never known to look for them without this experience! I walked away really feeling like I understood the city better. Truly a worthwhile experience!

Eye opening - WOW! On top of being a beautiful day to walk around downtown Flagstaff in the summer, this tour made it the perfect outing. I had no idea I was walking passed so many amazing murals during my day to day life, just tunnel vision on what I was doing and where I was going. I definitely have a new outlook on public art and look forward to many more art tours and also just stopping to look around more often on my own. THANK YOU!
