Embark on a magical 1-hour dog sled ride through the forest and experience a bond between humans and dogs that spans thousands of years. Feel the dogs’ excitement as you arrive at the kennel and are welcomed by the team. After an introduction to the dogs and instructions on sled riding, you and your guide will embark on a picturesque 6.5-mile sled journey together. If conditions permit, you’ll enjoy some of the best Denali views in the area! Your guide will pause throughout the ride for photos and to allow you to switch between standing and sitting on the sled. After the ride, take the opportunity to pet the dogs and shower them with affection.
The average tour duration is approximately 2 hours in total, with about 1 hour spent on the sled.

Begin this exciting 2-hour tour by preparing for the chilly weather. Next, venture into the dog yard to enjoy some playtime with the dogs while the team is being harnessed by the staff. After receiving some brief instructions, embark on a thrilling ride along a 6.5-mile trail for about an hour, with a stop midway to capture photos of Mt. Denali if it’s visible. Participants will have the opportunity to take turns driving the sled, accompanied by an experienced musher. Conclude the adventure with some hot cocoa and time spent with retired sled dogs.
The tour is led by Rohn and Alyssa Buser. Rohn is a three-time Iditarod finisher and has won several mid-distance races. He is the son of Martin Buser, a four-time Iditarod champion who holds the record for the most Iditarod races completed (39 times), so Rohn has been immersed in sledding from a young age!
