- Central Station Rainforest - Once a bustling logging station with schools and shops for the timber industry, it is now a tourist attraction. Walk along the Wanggoolba Creek boardwalk to explore the ancient King Ferns, towering Ghost Gums, and Pine trees.
- K’gari Explorer Tours - Local guides and specially designed 4WD buses are air-conditioned for your comfort.
- Eli Creek - Drift down this fast-flowing freshwater creek, which pours 80 megalitres of water daily into the ocean.

- This tour is not recommended for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair
- Please bring zinc sunscreen, hat and swimwear
- Audio guides and scripts are available in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Chinese via the K’gari Explorer Tours App.
- Recommended for guests to bring their own front-facing infant seats. Limited child seats are available at an additional charge on request.
- Please note we do not carry children under the age of 1 and no refund will be given.
- Please note that Queensland law requires all guests travelling on our coaches to wear seat belts at all times, failure to do so could result in a Queensland Government fine.
- This tour has separate departure locations depending on whether you are staying in Hervey Bay or Rainbow Beach. Please make sure you book the correct departure location. If you are staying in Hervey Bay, select pick up from Buccaneer Drive. If you are staying in Rainbow Beach, select pick up from Rainbow Beach Road.
- The commencement of hotel pickups is approximately 2 hours prior to the departure time of the tour, you must make telephone contact with the local service provider to book the pickup and verify the exactness of your pickup time, this must be done at least 48hrs prior to the departure.

We had an absolutely amazing tour with Keith. - We had an absolutely amazing tour with Keith.
He’s a fantastic guide, super knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about Kgari (Fraser Island). You can tell he really knows his stuff, and he made the whole experience both fun and informative.
One of the highlights was that we even got the chance to take a short flight in a small plane, which was incredible and not something we expected at all.
Keith shared fascinating stories about the island’s history, including the butchers and the Aboriginal culture, which made the experience much deeper than just a sightseeing tour.
We saw dingos, visited stunning beaches, and spent time at a beautiful lake where we could swim. The water was crystal clear and honestly felt like being in the Maldives.
Everything was well organized, relaxed, and just really enjoyable from start to finish.
Highly recommended – if you’re visiting Kgari, do this tour with Keith. Thank you!

Brilliant day trip - Very good day trip. Lots of fun facts from Keith and we had plenty of time at each stop, we even saw some eagles and dingoes. Lunch was really nice as well with a big selection to choose from. Our favourite stop of the day was lake McKenzie. We also enjoyed seeing the ship wreak, eli creek and walking through the rain forest. Would deffo recommend this trip and Keith was brilliant

Beautiful island with a great guide - The tour was great, K'gari Island is beautiful. Keith, our guide, did a great job. He explained a lot about the island and its history, which helped to appreciate this beautiful nature even more. We even were lucky and saw several Dingos. Swimming in Lake McKennzie was an absolute highlight. I would highly recommend to go on this tour and discover this very special island.

Keith the legend! - Amazing day on K’gari. Our guide Keith was awesome and made the trip so much fun. He was so knowledgable about the history of the island and the Butchulla people. He’s also an expert at spotting Dingoes and eagles!

10/10 experience, highly recommend. Bonus if you get Keith as your tour guide! - My parents, partner and I had the best experience on this tour! Our tour guide, Keith (not to be biased since I know his daughter) made the tour so fun, he really made the experience worthwhile. Through his passions with K’gari we found out so many fun facts about the island. Our favourite place was the crystal clear blue waters of Lake McKenzie and exploring the 1000 year old trees. We highly recommend to anyone seeking a fun relaxing day of exploring, learning and culture

Keith is punching above his weight👫 - From start to finish Keith, our fabulous tour guide made it such a memorable experience. His knowledge is fantastic which for me made it very interesting. His music tastes could be better, maybe a bit of Abba, and some of his jokes need working on 😏. We were a party of 4, 2 couples. Food was great both on the morning tea and cake stop and all you can eat buffet in resort.
Keiths driving skills were immense, and intense!
All in all, a 10 out of 10 experience.

Super nice trip 10/10 - Keith was the cooles guide ever super authentic funny guy who made the whole trip even more interesting! The lunch was also super delicious havent eaten this good and much since a long time I would recommend this trip to anybody. 10/10

Excellent day, thoroughly recommend - Excellent day. From pick up to drop off, the day was great. On time, well organised and must commend Steve. Steve explained everything, did an amazing job concentrating on driving, informing us all, detailing what to expect and when. Lunch was delicious at K’gari Resort. We took the added adventure of the 15min scenic flight, throughly recommend. All of the sites we visited were great, overall we had a great day on K’gari (Fraser Island) and can see why the island is a World Heritage listed place. It’s a long day but worth it. I highly recommend this tour to everyone.
