So glad we bought the pass - First visit to Jersey and first day of our holiday we were taking a stroll round St Helier when we saw, in the bay, what appeared to be strange amphibious buses. On investigation we found that was exactly what they were, taking people to and from Elizabeth Castle. When booking our tickets for the amphibious bus and castle we were told about the heritage pass which we bought. Subsequently we visited all the places that the pass gives access to. They were all very different and all well worth visiting. So glad we bought the pass

Sir Walter Raleigh 😀 - Perfect for a day trip. All the staff are so friendly. Fascinating history. The highlight was the tour by Sir Walter Raleigh who displayed knowledge, humour and very fashionable attire to entertain us all. Great views from the top of the castle too.

Very interesting and educational - We travelled to the castle by the amphibious ferry, as the tide was still partly in. Thanks to our Heritage Pass (definitely get one if visiting 2+ sites) this was free. We decided to take a guided tour and Jane was fantastic. We learned so much that we wouldn’t have known otherwise. This 75 minute tour covered all of the highlights and would be great if pushed for time. We explored the battlements, German bunkers, various buildings and the hermitage of St Helier. One interesting fact is that Sir Walter Raleigh lived here as he managed some developments and built a home for himself. We also chose to see the musket and cannon displays, which were great fun and very informative. We even formed a parade and marched between the two! It’s worth knowing that this probably lasted an hour. The site offers a cafe, toilets and small gift shop. It is a large exposed site and involves a lot of steps, so challenging for anyone with mobility issues and small children (especially with buggies). We then walked back to town over the exposed causeway which took about 20 minutes, but watch the tide times, as it comes in fast!!

Interesting - The amphibious vehicle ride to the castle was already fun. Exploring the Castle alone is not quite as exciting, but Sir Walter made it a fun, exciting and entertaining experience!

Great time - We had a 1 hour tour with a very delightful and witty Sir Walter Raleigh guide. It made the trip to the castle a hit! Tours are at 12 or 2pm so do get there in time

Sir Walter Raleigh, a perfect gentleman in tights. - The history of the castle was fascinating and made so much more memorable by the talk given by Sir Walter Raleigh. He was perfect, just the right combination of knowledge, humour and audience interaction. I really enjoyed my trip and the banter from the crew on the amphibious taxi to the castle was also good.

Fantastic money saving ticket for experiencing the island’s history brought to life in different ways. - A fantastic money saving pass if you intend to visit a number of the cultural places included. Each one we visited was really interesting and different. Loved everywhere! We managed 5 out of the 6 places on a 5 day visit (plus other places not on the pass). Favourite place was Mont Orgueil as the kids (5 and 3) loved exploring and dressing up. All had unique elements. Such great value for money, even if you only visit perhaps 3 of the places. Easy to work out saving in advance from the attraction websites.
