The park is home to the five ‘saintly’ peaks, including Kuiten Uul, Mongolia’s highest mountain at 4,374 meters.

Set up camp and prepare luggage for the next three days.
First Day of Trekking Tavan Bogd NP
Altai Tavan Bogd National Park - After breakfast, load camels or horses and begin the trek to the base camp (3100m) of the snow-capped Tavan Bogd massif. The hike ascends steadily over lush alpine tundra and crosses glacial runoffs, which can be muddy. Enjoy views across the glacier with snow-capped peaks in the distance.
Camp for two nights next to the 20km long Potanin glacier, the largest and most impressive of the twenty glaciers in the Mongolian Altai. Take in the awe-inspiring landscape.
Third Day of Trekking Tavan Bogd NP
Altai Tavan Bogd National Park - In the morning, trek up the valley towards the head of Tsagaan Gol valley, where vehicles will be waiting to continue the journey back to the Tuva family, where trekking guides and pack animals were hired.
Take time to rest, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and reflect on the past few days’ adventures.
Drive to a Kazak Family
Olgiy - Bid farewell to trekking guides and embark on a long drive towards a Kazak family, near the Golden Eagle Hunters Festival.
The journey is invigorating, crossing wide open spaces of high desert and steppe and over high mountain passes. Stay a short distance from the town in gers set up next to the host family. While the accommodation is comfortable, facilities are basic, with washing limited to a bowl of water and a long drop toilet.
