• Ariyabal Meditation Temple - Beyond its natural wonders, Gorkhi-Terelj National Park is home to the stunning Aryabal Temple, located near Turtle Rock, 56 km from Ulaanbaatar. The area is adorned with granite formations amidst picturesque valleys and hills, featuring a winding river and groves of trees. Aryabal, a Buddhist deity, is believed to hear all prayers and alleviate human suffering. The temple, designed in the shape of an elephant’s head, is accessed by 108 steps, a significant number in Buddhism, symbolizing the elephant’s trunk. In the early morning, the operator will pick guests up from their accommodation and head east of Ulaanbaatar to visit the Chinggis Khaan Equestrian Statue at the Tsonjin Boldog Complex. This statue is renowned as the world’s largest equestrian statue and is linked to historical events where Chinggis Khaan discovered a golden whip.

Following lunch, guests will travel to Terelj National Park for an hour-long horseback riding tour in the Terelj NP valley, known for its fascinating rock formations. Near Turtle Rock, guests will have the opportunity to hold an eagle on their shoulder. Afterwards, they will hike to the Ariyabal Temple, which is situated on a mountain slope and offers a wonderful short hiking experience. Terelj’s unique geographical shape was formed by water and wind over millions of years, providing excellent opportunities for scenic photography. After a full day of exploration, guests will be transferred back to their UB accommodation or to the airport.
