Best Tour Out of Kyoto! - This was an amazing tour! Our guide, Daiki, was very friendly and explained so much about Japanese tea history, the area we toured, and helped us better understand temple etiquette when we visited some temples outside Kyoto. The tea cafe was great: it had delicious food and anlso offered very good deals on top quality tea grown right in the areas we toured!

The Highlight of our Japan Trip - This was the highlight of the 2 weeks we spent in Japan. Daiki was our guide and he structured the tour based on our preferences. He was also very knowledgeable about the area and he is very cool. We drove to a tea museum, then drove the tea fields, we tried different teas, saw Byōdō-in temple, and got to see the gorgeous scenery in the Uji, Kyoto area. There were almost no people around which made it way more scenic. I also enjoyed chatting with Daiki about video games. It was fantastic trip, and a really great way to experience Kyoto. I highly recommend.

Great experience - Great experience! Our guide Daiki was very nice, everything worked perfectly. The tea plantations are very worth seeing and Daiki also told us a lot about Japan otherwise. We would do it again at any time!

Tea-rrific Tour - My husband and I booked the private Tea Field Tour and loved the personalized attention. Daiki knew how to get us through popular sites when the crowd size was smaller. The tour lasted more than 5.5 hours and it was a great experience! I learned so much about tea, Ninjas, and spiritual practices of Japan. Daiki is very curious and always learning new tidbits to add to share on his tours. One of my favorite take aways is his statement, "People think you need to be quiet at shrines, but Gods are party people." This freed me up to make the rest of my shrine visits more joyful and playful. I cannot wait to join Daiki on more adventures on my next trip to Japan.

An incredible afternoon - Our guide picked us up at our hotel on time. Immediately we took the road to the tea plantations towards Uji. We visited the Shoujuin Temple, then headed to the tea fields to take pictures. Afterwards tasting various teas at a tea interpretation center outside Uji city. Return to Kyoto to visit one last temple. A superb afternoon that will take you to places outside the tourist circuits. The guide provides a lot of explanation and is very friendly!

Informative all the way through! 10/10! - Daiki is fantastic. Patient, considerate, and knowledgeable, he made this tour the highlight of our trip! He's very personable and we loved every stop that was made because of the info he shared not just about the history but about the changes in modern times. You can't go wrong taking this trip especially if you are a tea/matcha lover or even if the history of it or the temples interests you at all!

Best day of our trip - We had such a great day. Daiki has a wealth of knowledge about Japanese history and culture and has such enthusiasm for sharing it. He also has such patience for all of my picture taking. Daiki even dropped us off at a nearby restaurant so we could get straight to dinner at the end of the day. The scenery is the region is truly incredible-tea fields, rice paddies, bamboo and cedar forests line the roads. Very interesting temples; Byodo-in was particularly special. Had a tea flight and matcha affogato at Wazuka-cha cafe which was very enjoyable.
