Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Embark on an exciting journey to the remote, picturesque, and hilly region of southwestern Uganda. This 8 to 9-hour drive is a delightful experience for road trip enthusiasts. While most of the road is paved, the slightly rougher sections add to the adventure with the stunning scenery of rolling hills. As you pass through villages and observe the locals, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find yourself already at the lodge.

Gorilla Tracking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Lake Bunyonyi - After an early breakfast, head to the briefing point in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park forest to learn about your upcoming adventure with the Mountain Gorillas. It’s recommended to bring plenty of drinking water and a packed lunch. For a fee of 15 US dollars, you can hire a porter to carry your bag and assist you on slippery or steep sections of the forest. Following the briefing, you’ll be grouped into teams of eight and guided by a park ranger into the forest, where you’ll spend an hour with these gentle giants. Rain gear is essential, as Bwindi is a tropical rainforest. You’ll then be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi, where you can swim in Uganda’s most beautiful lake or take a canoe ride to enjoy nature and explore the surrounding communities.

Transfer to Lake Mburo NP

Lake Mburo National Park - Continue to Lake Mburo National Park and enjoy a game drive upon arrival. Although it is the smallest savannah park, it is densely populated with wildlife. It offers a refreshing break from a gorilla safari or a fresh start for a safari, depending on your itinerary. As you drive through, you’ll easily spot zebras, impalas, waterbucks, and more. On a good day, you might even see a leopard, especially during a night game drive, which can be arranged.

Walking Safari and Transfer to Entebbe

Lake Mburo National Park - Start the day with coffee and a walking safari in the wilds of Lake Mburo, searching for wildlife. After the adventure, return to the lodge for breakfast. Following breakfast, begin your journey back, with a lunch stop at the Equator, and continue to Entebbe to catch your flight.

This journey is primarily designed for those whose main objective is to observe mountain gorillas and experience the wildlife in the savannah of Lake Mburo. The adventure begins at Entebbe International Airport and concludes in Entebbe. Following the gorilla tracking, participants will be transported to Lake Bunyonyi, where they can enjoy a swim or embark on a boat trip to discover the nearby communities.
