Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Begin the day with a delightful breakfast at 7:00 am, after which the driver will collect the group from the guesthouse to head towards the South West of Uganda. The initial leg of the journey traverses central Uganda. Lunch will be enjoyed in Mbarara at the renowned Igongo Culture Centre. The journey continues through Rukugiri District, passing charming villages, cultivated farms, and scenic hills, ultimately arriving at the Ruhija or Buhoma sectors of Bwindi. Check-in at the lodge upon arrival.
Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Experience an unforgettable day with the Gorillas. At 7:45 am, participants will gather at the starting point of Bwindi Impenetrable NP for a pre-briefing, and the trek will commence at 8:30 am. Upon locating the gorillas, visitors will spend a maximum of 1 hour with them. All guests are expected to return to the starting point by 7:00 pm. The trek can last between 3 to 9 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. It is a genuine hiking experience, and physical fitness is advised. Depending on the return time from trekking, the group will proceed to spend the night at the edge of Queen Elizabeth National Park – Ishasha sector, renowned for its tree-climbing lions.
Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park - Discover the wonders of Queen Elizabeth National Park with an early morning game drive, offering sightings of diverse wildlife, including members of the Big 5 such as Elephants and Buffalos, as well as big cats like Lions and Leopards, often seen in the evening. Warthogs and Hyenas are frequently spotted along the circuits. The park is home to a rich variety of birdlife, particularly storks in the wetland areas, and Flamingoes in the salt lakes. After lunch, embark on a classic 3 pm, 2-hour boat cruise on the renowned Kazinga Channel, a 36 km waterway connecting Lake George to Lake Edward. From the boat, observe land and water-adapted Hippopotamuses, the formidable Nile Crocodile along the banks, and the savannah’s Warthogs, reminiscent of Pumba from The Lion King, along with numerous bird species.
Return to Kampala/Entebbe
Kampala - After breakfast and savoring the views one last time, the journey back to Kampala begins. Enjoy lunch along the way, arriving in Kampala by late afternoon.
