Highly recommendable experience - The tour was really interesting and enjoyable and our guide was very knowledgeable. You could tell that the tour was planned perfectly to avoid too long stretches of walking from one attraction to the next one. Our guide was also taking into consideration the group very well. I could easily take the tour again! I bet that there would still be new things to learn. Thank you!

Heartily recommended - Our first visit to Newcastle and this tour was brilliant. Mr Red Beard gave us a great introduction to Newcastle's long and interesting history. He talked and walked us around the major and some hidden gems of the city including suggestions for other places to explore after the tour. The tour was particularly interesting judged by the fact that the time passed really quickly although he never rushed us and made sure that the tour was accessible for all participants. Rob was extremely knowledgeable and able to answer very off-piste questions. I heartily recommend!

Highly recmmended - Walking tour with Rob was quite the highlight of our Newcastle trip. It was a small group (just 4 of us). Rob was very knowledgeable and informative about historical sights and events and more modern history. He had an engaging style and was flexible interacting with a small but demanding group of visitors.

Great knowledgeable tour of Newcastle - I booked this walking tour for an early Mother’s Day gift as my mum had wanted to do one for a while. Rob was friendly, knowledgeable, witty and a great storyteller. We have lived in the Northeast for many years and Rob pointed out so many things we have never noticed before. I would thoroughly recommend Rob as a tour guide and we have come away from this tour feeling educated about Newcastle upon Tyne.

Superlative 3km delve into Newcastle upon Tyne’s history, ancient and modern - Wow. Literally a tour de force. A fascinating insight into this city’s history with ancient and modern stories told by an enthusiast. Perfectly researched, well paced and entertaining. Plenty of opportunity to ask questions and even a stop off for an excellent take away coffee. Some great advice as to where to go to shop, eat or drink was also provided. You couldn’t ask for better.
