During the Vietnam War, the Củ Chi tunnels were the site of numerous military operations and served as the Viet Cong’s headquarters for the Tết Offensive in 1968.
- Cao Dai Temple - The Cao Dai Temple, also known as Tay Ninh Holy See, was constructed in 1933 and officially opened in 1955. This unique religious structure of Caodaism (Cao Dai religion) is located in Hoa Thanh District, approximately 4km from Tay Ninh City.
Caodaism was founded in Southern Vietnam in the early 1920s but was not formally codified until 1926. It is the third largest religion in Vietnam, incorporating elements from Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism, Confucianism, and Islam. Currently, it is estimated that there are nearly 3 million adherents across 38 provinces and cities, primarily in South Vietnam.
- Black Virgin Mountain - Black Virgin Mountain (Vietnamese: Núi Bà Đen, meaning “Black Lady Mountain”) is located in Tây Ninh City, Vietnam. The mountain is central to a Vietnamese legend about Bà Đen. During the Vietnam War, the area surrounding the mountain was a conflict zone, as the Ho Chi Minh Trail concluded a few kilometers west across the Cambodian border. Consequently, numerous battles occurred, and both American and Vietnamese soldiers stationed in the area recall the mountain as a significant landmark. After the war, the mountain transitioned from a battleground to a renowned site for its beautiful temples and theme park.
