Best Day Out to Black Virgin Mountain, Cu Chi Tunnels and Cai Dai Temple! - We had the best day out on a private tour to Ba Den (Black Virgin) Mountain, Cu Chi Tunnels and Cai Dai temple with Max our amazing guide from Indochina Heritage Travel. Max had so much interesting information about the history of Saigon and the wars. We were particularly intrigued by all the facts he shared about the tunnels and the VC which really brought history to life for us! A packed day with so much to see and do at all the sights. Would highly recommend this tour and in particular cannot rate our guide Max highly enough! He is very familiar with all the sights, knowledgeable and really took the time to bring us to all the right photo spots. He was a key reason we thoroughly enjoyed this tour!

A long but enjoyable day exploring Vietnam - Our guide, Johnny, arrived at our hotel in plenty of time and welcomed us to Vietnam and took us through the schedule for the long, but enjoyable day. The car was comfortable and on the journey Johnny gave us a lot of information about the history of Vietnam which helped us to make the most of the stops on our tour. Everything ran smoothly and Johnny volunteered to be our photographer so we now have a lot of pictures of our day which we wouldn't have otherwise had. Our day was tailored for us to make sure we saw and experienced what was important to make the most of our tour. I can certainly recommend this tour and if you are able to get Johnny as your guide you will have a fabulous day.

An Outstanding Tour! - This was a fantastic tour from the start to the end. Max, our guide, picked us up promptly at our hotel at 7:30. We drove from the hotel to our first attraction, which was the black Virgin Mountain. Along the way Max talked to us about things that we were passing and gave us a real feel for Vietnam that some tour guides neglect. When we got to the attraction Max took care of the tickets, led us in and filled us with more information about the actual attraction. It was absolutely the best having somebody who could speak English there and talk us through what we were seeing, it really added to the experience. After the Black Virgin Mountain, we proceeded to the Cao Dai temple. We didn’t spend a lot of time at the temple because it really didn’t require much, but it was still fascinating to see. And we got to feed th monkey colony that lives nearby which was a plus. After the temple we had lunch that was again taken care of by Max. We went to a small restaurant, sat down and all of this food was placed in front of us. It was all really delicious and even though that’s not why we were on the tour it definitely added to the experience. After lunch we proceeded to our final stop the Cu Chi Tunnels,m where Max took care of getting us in and guiding us through the entire tunnel experience, from sliding through the tunnels to shooting the weapons. Overall this was an absolutely fantastic tour and I’m extremely glad that I was able to get out of Ho Chi Minh City and see a little bit more of South Vietnam. I highly recommend this tour!

Wonderful tour full of sights and history - My friends and I really enjoyed this private tour to Black Virgin Mountain and Cu Chi Tunnels. Our guide Kevin was extremely knowledgeable about the geography and history of these two locations. Although this was a tour in English, one person in my group is Vietnamese and speaks only Vietnamese. I appreciate Kevin doing double duty of explaining things in both English and Vietnamese. This was a long tour, about 11 hours. We first did a short stop at a handicraft shop that supports artists with disabilities. We get to see the process of these artists making lacquered painting. Next was a long ride to Black Virgin Mountain near the Cambodian border. The cable car to the top of the Black Virgin Mountain was a quick 10 min ride that led to gorgeous gardens and beautiful natural sceneries from the top. There was also a nice water show in front of the big Buddha statue. Afterwards, we stopped for lunch. There was so much food and the restaurant was very accommodating to my friend's dietary requirements. The food was light, balanced and nutritious. The last stop was the Cu Chi Tunnels. We learned so much about how the people in the region built, utilized and lived the tunnels. We recommend exploring the Cu Chi Tunnels for those interested in the Vietnam War. Overall, we liked that this tour was a mix of leisure/sightseeing and education/history. We were also lucky that it was not crowded at either location.
