Amazing Instructor and Incredible Food! - My Mum and I took this class with Mango, she was absolutely amazing! We were shown the local markets, Mango explained how the meat and vegetable market worked. We had snacks along the way throughout the market, trying new fruits and the local pork belly.
Once we got to the kitchen, the smells were unforgettable! I wish I could give this tour 10 stars! Amazing experience, I would do it again anyway.

Not to be missed when in Hanoi - I wish I could give this activity 6 stars - from start to finish it was such a joy! Chef Mango was a delightful guide. The setting for the class is special - hidden away from the chaos of the city in a tranquil setting. Visually, it was spectacular - from the vibrant produce at the market to the ingredients displayed at the kitchen. A photographers dream! We had so many laughs and learnt a lot about Vietnamese cuisine. It is clear that the school uses quality ingredients (sea worm for the umami flavoring for the pho soup, and lovely lean beef for another dish) and our tutor was a legitimate restaurant chef who provided nuanced information and was very patient with us. This wasn’t your typical mass tourism experience - it is clear that a lot of love and thought has gone into creating the experience. I did this with my 12 year old son - it was a wonderful experience for us both - the cyclo ride was a nice intro and the food we prepared was delicious. Highly recommend.

Cooking experience - The cooking experience with Mango of Thom Culinary was exceptional! She took us through the market and showed us different herbs, spices, vegetables and fruits. We then went to her home where she showed us her garden as well as the family shrine which she explained to us. Her knowledge and enthusiasm was infectious! She clearly loves what she does and sharing her knowledge and cooking skills. The foods we prepared were delicious! Great value for the money, fabulous experience! Highly recommended +++

Hanoi’s best kept secret - The absolute highlight of our trip to Hanoi. Trang was a delight to spend an afternoon with, and so incredibly knowledgeable about Vietnamese food and culture. She was able to quickly alter the menu for a non meat eater. The location of the class is a beautiful oasis just minutes away from the city, but really was an appreciated break from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi.
Highly recommend this experience for anyone visiting Hanoi!

Best experience in Ha Noi - A must-try program in Ha Noi! Mango, our chef was amazing, she has such a huge knowledge about food and cooking. Firstly, we went to the local market. With my mum we stopped almost at every corner to take some photos, but Mango was so patient and helpful with us during the whole program. She taught us how to make Vietnamese food and gave an unforgettable experience. I really recommend it everyone, even for those too who are beginners in cooking, they won’t regret it!
Trang, the owner was also cheerful and kind when welcoming us and I think she found the perfect place for the cooking classes, the atmosphere was so peaceful. Thank you for the whole team for creating such a good experience! :)

Amazing cooking class with Mango! - Fantastic cooking class with Mango!!! She has lot of knowledge about food, culture and more which made it even more interesting while learning how to cook delicious dishes. She has been absolutely awesome with her nice smile and great personality! Would recommend everyone to join the class located in a nice peaceful environment!

Cooking and eating in Hanoi - The woman who owns and started this enterprise picked us up at our hotel. We then went to a market and were all assigned with buying certain ingredients. She walked around the market with us pointing out foods we were probably not familiar with. Then we went to her culinary school location and all got to help cooking some courses. Then we sat down to an amazing meal. She was so enthusiastic about Vietnam and it's cuisine. Everyone had a great time and no one went away hungary!!

Professionally run and fun experience - Started the afternoon with a guided tour of the food market exploring areas that we would not have otherwise seen. Very interesting and informative with some tasting along the way.
Arranged taxis back to the cooking class which is an oasis in the middle of a bustling city. Very professionally organised and informative - a fun experience. Finishing the evening enjoying the food we cooked with a local cold beer. Highly recommend!

Great experience to see and try out Vietnamese food and culture - Had a great time. The market tour was really interesting, we saw many foods that I haven't seen before. And saw herbs and fruit I haven't seen before in the garden. The cooking class itself was great and the food was delicious.

Fantastic experience in beautiful garden setting - The business was communicative and flexible with our booking when we couldn’t make our initially appointment short notice and easily fit us into another spot.
Trang was our host for today. She is extremely knowledgeable, articulate, and passionate not only about cooking, but also in sharing Vietnamese culture with us. We started with a market visit where we got to see many fruits and ingredients I had never seen or heard of before. She bought a few and we got to try them before class.
The class was a good balance of demonstration and hands on direct experience. My partner and I had our own station and were able to cook and eat our own spring rolls, beef salad, and sauces.
The venue is so beautiful. Located at a private place with beautiful gardens where we learned about herbs and spices used in cooking. I ended up learning a lot about Vietnamese culture and values through the lens of food.
Highly recommend this class, well worth the money!
