Roger was a terrific tour guide. He had in-depth knowledge of the city’s history, and was able to share that in an animated and expressive style that engaged everyone on the tour.
The docent/guide, Charlie, was a true scholar and authority on New Orleans history. He also knew dozens of obscure anecdotes about the people who have been involved in the history of New Orleans. He was an excellent and clear speaker. He was very entertaining. The one problem, from my point of view, was the excessive amount of oral material that he delivered. He started speaking immediately as we left the starting point and he did not let up for 3 solid hours! There was no time to think or casually enjoy a view or take a picture or relax or sit down. It was a tsunami of words. I was exhausted at the conclusion of the tour and needed to sit and stare into space for a time.
Wonderful guide and perfect overview of the city. Do it on your first day in town!
Very informative guide Mark, Lots of history about the city but all in a easy to grasp manner. We were interrupted by a storm but it didn’t spoil the tour at all. Free tickets to the museum were an added bonus. Highly recommended
Dionne was great! Really knowledgeable, and very approachable. Managed to do the tour in bursts of heavy rain, guiding us through the main events in New Orleans history, answering our questions and keeping us pretty dry. You can’t ask for more than that!
This was a great way to learn some of the many secrets and histories of the French Quarter. The guide was really friendly and informative. I would recommend this to others.
Jeanetta was a very informed and enthusiastic guide. It was a great walking tour.
My wife and I did this walking tour and our guide "Jeannine" was absolutely great! She was extremely knowledgeable and personable. We would recommend this tour to anyone wanting some back story of the French Quarter! Whatever you do, don't forget the 4 F's!
