A delicious Mexican food tasting is included in the tour right after visiting Tulum Ruins.
Once we reach the Muyil lagoon, we take a boat across two lagoons connected by an artificial canal that has been in use for many centuries. Xlapak is the name of the building at the beginning of the lazy river and the start of an incredible floating experience in crystal clear pluvial water on its way to the Caribbean Sea. We float for over 30 minutes surrounded by mangroves, orchids, bromeliads and cacti while we hear the sounds of nature.

Awesome experience and highly recommended! - This was one of four trips we booked with Mexico Kan Tours and was yet again brilliant! The communication before the trip was excellent, the pick up service perfectly on time and the staff courteous and attentive. Cold water and healthy snacks were provided in a comfortable air conditioned MPV. Carlos was our guide on this trip, and his knowledge of the Mayan ruins was fabulous making the tour of Tulum very interesting and informative. I have to say, the favourite part of my entire holiday in Mexico was the floating experience in the lazy river! Wow! Peaceful, beautiful, serene, mangroves, crystal clear water … Sian Ka’an is beautiful - I’m so glad we did not miss this!

- Our guide was Paloma - our family of 4 took the lagoon cruise and lazy river float in Sian Ka'an Muyil for the afternoon. What an amazing experience! We were staying in the Yucatán peninsula for 2 weeks doing loads of fun stuff, but we thought this particular trip with Mexico Kan Tours was the highlight of the holiday! The scenario across the lagoons and going through the mangroves in the boat was sensational. And then we got to jump in and float together down the flowing canal in the beautiful warm clear water. It was really good fun and the whole family throughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended!

Great fun with great guide! - Had a wonderful time - Alonso was extremely knowledgeable answering all our questions, offering suggestions and took us for a great lunch. Boating through the lagoons and floating in the water was the cherry on top. Highly recommend!

A tour to remember (Lea and Axel/Jonthan) - Due to some unforeseen circumstances, my wife and I had to change our plans and picked this tour instead. And we are so glad we did. The tour guide, Lea, was an absolute gem and treated all of us like family. She gave us so much insight into the history of Tulum and made sure to answer any questions we had along the way. Lunch was authentic and delicious. And even when someone ran into our van while we were at lunch (the driver, Axel, was fine and handled it like a pro), they provided us with another van and our tour continued without a hitch. The highlight of the trip was definitely the lazy river float in the crystal-clear canal. If you want to really relax on your trip to Mexico, this is the way to do it. Both drivers, Axel and Jonthan, were stellar and kept the van cool and our water jugs full.

To do absolutely!!!! - Beautiful!!!!!! Very nice site.
If there is one activity not to be missed it is this. We had a great guide, Florencio who welcomed us so well and explained the history of the site, but also that of its people 😍
We went there in May, so in low season we were the only ones on this amazing site, it was very appreciable 🤗

a historical and UNESCO floating trip - The experience of Tulum and Muyil is unique. We had a very time with Paloma. She also took us to the local restaurant for lunch where we had our best tacos.

My favorite activity in Mexico - Don’t skip this one- it’s incredible. The archeological site at Tulum is beautiful, and the local food experience was awesome! Floating down a magical waterway amidst the natural ecology of Sian Ka’an was the experience of a lifetime.
Lea is a knowledgeable, fun, and patient guide who took such good care of us! It was evident that she cares both for her clients and for the amazing area she shares with them. I cannot recommend this activity enough!

Great way to experience the mangroves and Tulum ruins. - Floating down the laxy river through the mangroves is an amazing experience. The Tuljm rui s sre interesting and the guide is informative.

Informative and beautiful day out - The lazy river and boat ride was amazing, and so was the food. The chicharron could've been a bit crispier though 🤣 (but it's okay, was still very delicious)
