Tui Tulum and Mayan village half day excursion. - Great half day trip. Tulum very exposed with little shade, so make sure you pack sunscreen, bug spray, hat and are well covered in loose clothing. Erik was our guide and he did his best to fin d some shady spots as he pointed out notes of interest before giving us an hour free time to explore. Some snacks were provided, water, juice, pizza and muffins. Make sure to pack your own snacks if you have allergies of don't like those mentioned. Mayan village was a wonderful experience. We got to taste fruit and tea and also made, cooked and ate tortillas, before enjoying the Cenote. Note there were bats fling around this cenote. You are expected to shower prior to entering the cenote, so make sure you use bug spray on exiting the cenote as you are in the middle of the jungle. Also water shoes are advised but not essential.

This tour and Michel, our guide, were fabulous! - Tulum is so beautiful and Michel had so many interesting facts and pictures to share. Coba was very cool to see, and again, Michel had so much history and great pictures to share. Lunch was delicious, and they were evn accommodating of my needing a vegetarian option - quesadillas, yum! The cenote was not at all what we expected - so deep, gorgeous blue water, and diving platforms! Also had changing rooms!! Last, but definitely not least, we visited a mayan village/homested, and the family taught us a lot about how they live and use the land and cultivate what it offers to sustain themselves - so very interesting and fun! We can't express how much we enjoyed Michel - he was so much fun to get to know and talk with, and he had so much information to share and made the trip so much fun. Gracias, Michel!
