Really good tour with unusual access to some buildings - We went on a Saturday, and tours are normally in the morning. It was a large group (about 30) and a warm day, but we found shade. I’m a fan of art deco, but my date was not familiar with it. Initially, she was more interested in learning more about the history of Tulsa, and there was plenty of that, too. Tulsa has a reputation for having one of the most concentrated groups of neoclassical and art deco buildings in the country, mainly due to the enormous influx of oil money during that time period. Our guide did a great job of explaining the history as well as major features of art deco buildings, as well as some great precursors. The tour was scheduled for two hours, and we actually wrapped up at about 2 ½ hours. We walked about a mile and a half, and one woman in our group used walking sticks, but we also had a chance to sit in the lobby of several of the buildings. Also, several Of the buildings have been closed to the public for years, but our guide had keys, so we definitely got to see things that you can’t see on your own. We both really enjoyed it and are taking a close look at other tours the company offers, because we want to take at least one or two more tours with this company.

Tulsa Art Deco Masterpieces - Outstanding tour conducted by a highly knowledgeable guide. Done a lot of tours and this one stands out because of the quality of the subject examples and the information as given by the guide about the buildings. They are treasures we are lucky to still be able to see and appreciate.

Do this tour! - What a wonderful experience. Jeffrey was so considerate of us as my husband had a hard time walking. He was patient and extremely knowledgeable on all the buildings. We have done several Art Deco tours throughout the world. We would rate Jeffery as a guide and tour itinerary among the best1

If you are a “sucker” for downtown discoveries, do this tour ! - Our private tour with Jeffrey was the perfect introduction to Tulsa’s rich history. Downtowns are a mirror into a city’s economic, cultural, architectural and social history and in Tulsa, it’s fascinating. As Europeans, our tour was rewarding and entertaining. For us, it added another milestone getting to know the “middle of the country”. Highly recommend this two hour walking tour where you look upwards a lot - building architecture is happening above street level and inside hidden lobbies. As to economic history, Jeffrey’s illustrative exhibit about Tulsa’s oil boom years with authentic printed material (eg the International Petroleum Exhibition ads) are an eye opener.

Great historical tour - Very interesting tour. We saw a lot of excellent historical buildings, but the best part was the stories our guide told. I would do it again.

Recommend - We were visiting from Houston and wanted to see some of the Art Deco buildings in Tulsa and this tour delivered. Becky our very knowledgeable guide gave us a good tour of not only art deco building from the late twenties but also some earlier classic buildings. A good deal history behind the development of the building and the people and egos behind them. We highly recommend this tour and the tunnel tour.

Architectural Digest - The tour was great. Our guide, Becky, really knew her topic and showed lots of enthusiasm for these great old buildings. Taking a tour like this gives one insight into the history and architectural detail that could not be discovered on your own. I highly recommend this tour.
