Hobart to Wild West Coast
Russell Falls - Begin the journey early from Hobart, venturing into the untamed west coast of Tasmania. After passing through New Norfolk, explore Mount Field National Park by walking among some of the world’s tallest trees, standing beneath the stunning Russell Falls, and searching for platypus.
Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park - The drive takes us through the Tasmania Wilderness World Heritage Area, with a stop at Franklin Gordon Wild Rivers National Park to stroll along the Franklin River and beneath Nelson Falls.
Queenstown - Next, explore the intriguing historical mining town of Queenstown. Discover the old buildings, mining history, or visit one of the many pubs.
Tullah - Arrive in Tullah in the afternoon, where there is free time to explore the township nestled on the picturesque Lake Rosebery.
Wild West Coast to Central Tasmania (via Cradle Mountain)
Cradle Mountain - From Tullah, travel through temperate rainforest to reach the breathtaking Cradle Mountain National Park. Prepare your cameras to capture wild wombats before hiking the popular Dove Lake Circuit or Marions Lookout for the more adventurous.
Campbell Town - In the afternoon, head to secluded accommodation surrounded by wildlife. Enjoy a campfire and BBQ.
Central Tasmania to Bicheno (via Bay of Fires)
Bay of Fires Conservation Area - Start the day with a scenic drive to the Bay of Fires, where you can enjoy its many beautiful beaches. Explore the beach, hop among the iconic orange lichen-covered granite boulders, and relish the crystal-clear turquoise water.
Bicheno to Hobart (via Freycinet - Wineglass Bay)
Wineglass Bay - A short drive from Bicheno brings us to Freycinet National Park, home to the renowned Wineglass Bay. Choose to hike Wineglass Bay Lookout and Beach, Hazards Circuit, or Mount Amos (weather permitting). Then, visit Cape Tourville before completing the Great Eastern Drive back to Hobart. The tour concludes upon arrival in Hobart (approximately 5:30 pm), where we bid farewell to our new tour friends. If staying in Hobart for the night, be sure to visit the famous Salamanca Markets on Saturdays.
