A group of four friends from Tissamaharama began renting tuk-tuks to foreign visitors in 2017. They initially hired tuk-tuks from local villagers to rent out. Unfortunately, the business had to close due to a series of challenges, including the bombings in Colombo, the coronavirus pandemic, and the financial crisis in Sri Lanka.

With the revival of tourism, the friends have come together to support each other by renting out tuk-tuks and earning some income from it.

All the tuk-tuks are sourced from local villagers.
