If they can handle us by the dozen….. - Our family group of 12 people did a half day canyoneering and hike in Tanque Verde canyon and creek. We had so much respect for the competence and expertise of our guides. On our first try, we hiked down to the creek, paused for weather updates about possible rain, and played goofy games. News came back that as a storm was imminent so out we hiked to avoid the flash flooding. We were able to do the trip the next morning and see some of the changes the storm water had brought about. The guides had to pick some new rappel lines, because the normal ones were in waterfalls, or landed in water instead of dry ground. They were calm, focused and professional. Even on our hike out over the bouldery terrain, they had to scout different routes for use to descend due to the higher water levels. We were a big group, but they managed us and the dynamic trip with humor, grace and expertise. Thanks Arizona climbing guide for an awesome adventure!!

Exciting climbing adventures in Arizona - My family and I went canyoneering down Seven Cataracts one day and the kids went on a half-day climb the next day near Mount Lemmon. We had the same guide both days and he was awesome! He let everyone travel at our own pace and conducted a nature tour while guiding us down numerous rappels in the canyon. He taught the kids a lot during their climb and let them climb at their level. I would recommend Arizona Climbing Guides to anyone in search of adventure!
