Ho Chi Minh - Cai Be Boat Trip - Overnight in Chau Doc

Cai Be - Guests will be picked up from their hotel at 7:30 am to embark on an exciting journey. The first destination is the Cai Be Pier along the majestic Mekong River. Relax as the ‘sampan’ (a traditional motorized boat) glides through the tranquil canals. These hidden waterways are surrounded by lush greenery and local villages, offering a glimpse into the vibrant colors and culture.

Next, the tour continues on the dry land of Tan Phong Island. After a brief visit to a delightful fruit orchard, guests will enjoy the captivating music of Vietnam during a local performance and take a guided bicycle tour of this wonderful island. Along the way, there will be visits to native families to learn how they utilize the land to create everything from delicate rice paper to sturdy home roofs. A local family will serve Mekong delicacies for lunch, including freshly made spring rolls, fried pumpkin flowers, and beautifully braised pork in coconut juice.

Vinh Long - Following the special Mekong lunch, the journey continues back on the boat into the smaller canals of the delta. Here, guests can closely observe the daily life of local people and farmers. Witness the craftsmanship of local merchants preparing delicious coconut candy, rice wine, unique hand-crafted pottery, and bricks made from scratch. The tour then proceeds to the Vinh Long Pier and market, showcasing more of the Mekong’s specialties.

Finally, guests will board a bus to Chau Doc to reach their accommodation. Upon arrival, there is an option to explore the marvelous night market for dinner or relax at the chosen hotel.

Chau Doc - Tra Su Mangrove Forest - Overnight in Can Tho

Tra Su Bird Sanctuary - The morning begins with an early checkout for a scenic drive to the stunning Tra Su Mangrove Forest. In this serene location, guests will pass through forest canals to observe wading birds. This enchanting place, filled with mossy green waterways lined with beautiful cajuput trees, is home to amazing wildlife, including birds of paradise and storks.

Sam Mountain - After visiting Tra Su, the tour proceeds to the impressive Ba Chua Xu temple at the foot of Sam Mountain. Following the temple visit, guests will enjoy a unique Xe Loi bicycle rickshaw trip through the surrounding villages, ending at Ba Sa fish square before driving to Can Tho for an overnight stay. Upon arrival, guests will be taken to their chosen hotel. For those with energy to spare, a visit to a local night market is available.

Cai Rang Floating Market - Vinh Trang Pagoda - Ho Chi Minh City

Cai Rang Floating Market - On the third day, an early start ensures a full day of exploration. Guests will board a private boat to visit Cai Rang, the largest floating market in Asia. Experience local produce being sold directly from boat to boat, with opportunities to purchase products and enjoy morning coffee at one of the floating coffee shops.

Vinh Trang Temple - After the market, guests will return to the hotel for a well-deserved breakfast. Following checkout, the tour heads to My Tho to visit the breathtaking Vinh Trang Pagoda. A guide will lead a tour of the incredible five-acre site. After an interesting and enjoyable day, guests will return to Ho Chi Minh City and be dropped off at their accommodation.
