Fantastic whale safari - We had a wonderful trip to watch whales. Saw orcas and humpback whales. Expectations exceeded! The yacht, the captain and his fish soup were splendid. A bit cold, but that was worth it :)

LOVE IT - At first there was a little delay with the boat but after it got resolved everything went smoothly. The guide was a marine biologist really knowledgeable and bilingual which was nice. We appreciated too that it was just a small group of people so it didn’t felt crowded and everyone was really nice. They offer tea, coffee and cookies to keep us warm when going outside the boat. We were really lucky to be able to catch a glimpse of humpbacks but also orcas these animals are just majestic and the experience was just great. Can’t wait to return to Norway and repeat this trip!

Whale watching at its best - Met by skipper Per and shown to the boat, Artic Queen. Very good safety briefing and then on our way. After a cruise up the fjord we found whales. What magnificent creatures Per was a great skipper , a great whale spotter and he then surprised us by making as amazing fish soup. A perfect day

One of the best experiences of my life - This trip was excellent, hosted by our knowledgeable guide Kevin (he's studied a masters in marine biology focusing on whales so trust me - he knows what he's talking about) teaching us about the different types of whales we might see, their feeding habits and other cool facts. The boat ride takes around an hour and 45 mins to find the whales; we were lucky enough to see both humpbacks and orcas on this trip. The boat is lovely and warm with hot tea and coffee - something you'll need after being out on deck to see the whales. Thoroughly recommend this company and this trip.

We saw the Whale - It’s take about 2hours from Tromso to the place for whale watching by the convenient ship. It’s provide complementary coffee and tea. We could saw the whale from far. The whales were swim away upon we go nearer. However, we were not so lucky to watch the whale jump up from the sea. Its really depend on luck. However, we still recommend to join the tour as the tour guide were experience enough to find out the whale.

Failed trip - I was part of a group of 8 and we can only warn you to book with this company! We booked a whale watching tour on the 30. of December 2022. The weather was quite stormy and we were surprised, that the tour wasn’t cancelled in advance. After our arrival at the harbor, our skipper informed us, that the sea was very stormy and told us, that he had a lot of experience with the sea and this kind of weather and that some of us could get seasick. We assured him, that we already did some tours and that we were prepared for this and no one would get seasick. A shift of our tour was not possible as any other date was not possible either for him or for us. Finally, we started our tour and left the harbor. Approximately 1h15min into the tour, the skipper told us, it would be impossible to reach Skjervoj as the weather was too stormy. Afterwards, we continued and asked why he did not inform us before leaving, that due to the weather there was no chance to reach our final destination. His answer was, that he told us the sea was stormy. I do not deny that he told us this, but he never stated that there was no possibility to reach Skjervoj (that's where the whales are). Very disappointed, we turned back and after 2h 30min we arrived at the harbor in Tromso. We wrote Kurt 3 times after our tour. He answered, that the skipper told us, that the sea was very stormy. So now here we are, 3 months later, still with no apology or any kind of compensation. The planned tour was a birthday trip for which we paid a lot of money, let us make this clear, around 2'700 Dollars! We booked almost half a year in advance and this company is not even trying to find an appropriate solution. Maybe this tour could be quite cool if everything works out the way it's planned. But they are not even a bare minimum interested in finding a solution with their customers if something's going wrong. This trip was a absolute waste of money.

Finger weg! - We can only warn you to book with this company! We had booked a whale watching tour for 8 people on the 30. of December 2022. The weather this day was quite stormy and we were surprised, that the tour wasn’t cancelled in advance. After our arrival at the harbor, our skipper informed us, that the sea was very stormy. He told us, that he had a lot of experience with the sea and this kind of weather was rather an issue for us than for himself and that some of us could get seasick. We assured him, that we already did some tours and that we were prepared for this and no one would get seasick. Additionally, the skipper told us that he could not move our group to another day, as the weatherforecast was also bad for the 31. of December and, on the 1. of January, another private group would be touring with him. Finally, we started our tour and left the harbor. Approximately 1h15min into the tour, the skipper called us and said, it would be impossible to reach Skjervoj as the weather was too stormy. The boat would not withstand the strong waves and he could not hold the rudder if we continued. I asked him for alternatives and he told me the only realistic option would be to drive back as the storm could come closer to the Fjords we were already in. We wrote Kurt 3 times, always with the answer, that the skipper told us, that the sea was very stormy but he'll check again with the skipper. We didn't get an email back until we wrote again, again with the answer "I'll check with the skipper". So now we are 3 months later, we didn't get an apology or just some of the money back! The planned tour was a birthday trip for which we paid a lot of money, let us make this clear, around 2'700 Dollars! We booked almost half a year in advance and this company is not even trying to find an appropriate solution. Maybe this tour could be quite cool if everything works out the way it's planned. outrageous - We paid 315 € for two people for this excursion, we received a message at 10pm the evening before the excursion to tell us that the time and the appointment had changed. When we arrived, we were not with the boat we had booked but a huge catamaran of 150 people that would have cost us only 280 € for two people! Moreover, the big catamaran was very brutal and a lot of passengers threw up in the boat, I'm not telling you the smell and atmosphere... The boat guide couldn't even give us a reason why we couldn't be on the boat we booked, this excursion stole 35€ from us without any explanation. I absolutely do not recommend this company!

Very bad organisation - We made a reservation, paid and get a confirmation. But once at the meeting point the captain told us that he couldn't promise us a place on the boat. We had to wait for 30min in the cold to get separated seats on a big boat from a different company with more than 150 people on it. No refund, no financial gesture. I will not book a tour with artic cruise again and i do not recommand them at all.
