This half-day tour offers a visit to the renowned island of Sommarøy, often referred to as the Arctic Caribbean. The journey includes passing through breathtaking fjords shaped by glacial movements, providing insights into the region’s geology, wildlife, and plant life. With some luck, participants may spot seabirds, eagles, or even reindeer in their natural habitats. The outbound trip lasts about 2 hours, offering a scenic adventure through some of the most stunning fjords.
Upon reaching Sommarøy, the group will stop at a restaurant where, subject to availability, there is an opportunity to experience a traditional sauna. For those feeling adventurous, a refreshing dip in the sea is also an option.
