Great tour & Amazing Guide (Thank you Stefan Erlingsson) - Stephen is an amazing tour guide. He was not only friendly but genuinely helpful. The experience was great itself but with a guide who knows what he is doing, it becomes priceless. He shared every available information regarding Northern Lights and helped us create a fantastic memory.

Amazingly beautiful Aurora with NLT - Peter, our driver and guide, has a very good knowlegde of aurora. It’s not just finding aurora but he patiently wait until the aurora reached strong solar activity that enable us to see it dancing in beautiful colors. It is very amazing view and it’s a once of a lifetime experience for us. Peter also brings a good camera and made sure we all have beautiful photos to take home. Highly recommended with Peter (NLT).

Couldn't have asked for more! - Been on a few aurora tours, and this (20Mar) was, by far, the best – yes, we did get to witness a fabulous aurora, but what made that a memorable experience was the tour guide/driver/photographer, Petter, and the super-comfortable vehicle. Petter was punctual, witty, drove efficiently, and pulled up as soon as he spotted the first signs of the Lights. He patiently obliged us with as many photographs as requested, and gave us enough time to bask in the glory of the event. Thank you for giving us an unforgettable evening, Petter & NLT

The northern lights - I was very lucky I was booked on another tour that got cancelled but this one went despite the challenging conditions Peter was our guide and drove us all the way to Finland where the lights came out for us.
Peter was a friendly helpful guide who went to a great deal of trouble for us all and took some great photos for us.

Magic time-beyond words! - Our Northern Lights tour with NLT was truly unforgettable. Stefan was an outstanding guide—knowledgeable, kind, and completely dedicated to giving us the best possible experience. The minivan was cozy, spotless, and felt brand new, which made the cold night so much more comfortable.
We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights, and the whole experience was beyond words. It felt magical. I also loved being in a small group—it made the night feel very personal and relaxed, like sharing something special with new friends.
Stefan even offered us hot chocolate, which was exactly what we needed in the freezing weather. He helped us take beautiful photos too, turning the night into a once‑in‑a‑lifetime memory.
I can’t recommend this tour—and NLT team—highly enough.

Well organized tour! Definitely recommended! - We have had a well organized tour! With driver Sven and guide Katarina we drove a long way from the city to find a nice place. Katarina was constantly monitoring for aurora activity. Fortunately, there were beautiful northern lights! She made some beautiful pictures and they were available for download the next day.
She took ample time to admire the light and we only drove away when the light also became fainter. It was a successful evening, I would definitely recommend NLT guide company.

Absolutely magical Northern Lights safari! - Our Northern Lights safari in Tromsø was truly unforgettable. Our guide Stefan was incredibly friendly, passionate and knew exactly where to go. Thanks to him, we saw stunning Northern Lights dancing across the sky in beautiful, colorful waves — an absolutely magical experience.
The comfortable minibus, hot cocoa and cookies, and the fact that photos were taken and shared online the very next day made the tour even better.
I would recommend this experience to everyone — an absolute must-do when visiting Tromsø!

Bad experience and wish I had stayed at home. - Bus seats way too tight. Could have just cancelled the trip if the chances of seeing the northern light is low. Just imaging paying the expensive ticket and spend 4 hours just riding the car with super tight space. What a terrible experience. Wish I had gone with another tour where they actually go to Finland to see it.

Huge disappointment - We chose NLT Guide Company for our northern lights chasing tour. Unfortunately, this was a huge disappointment for us. We perfectly know that northern lights are a phenomenon which depends completely on nature and is unpredictable but if all region (including Finland) is affected with tremendous snow storm and low clouds you simply cancel the tour (as many other tour operators did) and don’t pretend that there might be some openings and there is a chance to see northern lights. On the same night our friends had trips scheduled with other tour operators and they got canceled due to bad weather and dangerous driving conditions while our trip took place. We are not frustrated because we didn’t see the aurora but because of how the trip was organised and that it happened at all. It started very late (at 19:30) and the guide decided to take us all the way to Finland (3 hours one way) only to tell us that we are returning because (surprise surprise) it’s snowing heavily (while terrible snow was predicted in all weather forecasts). We did not even leave the bus for any activity and returned to Tromso at 3 am, extremely tired. In addition, the bus was driving extremely slow (all other cars were passing us by) cause it had broken windshield wipers - the driver stopped almost every 15 minutes to remove ice and snow from the wipers which consumed a lot of time and we found it extremely dangerous and unbelievable (they decided to drive during a snow storm and didn’t even check the wipers?!). It is also true that this company makes many unnecessary stops on the way (e.g. half an hour toilet stop one hour from departure). But the worst part of the tour was our tour guide - Katerina. She didn’t seem to be determined as if she knew from the very beginning that this tour will be a failure. She behaved like this job was a punishment for her, we didn’t even see her smile once and no real initiative or nice communication came from her. Hey NLT, if your employees are so exhausted then maybe you should give them a few days off. To sum up, apparently NLT Guide Company chases money not the northern lights.
