Dinner cruise & whale watching 10/10 - Wonderful experience!
Did the silent whale tour with Francesca, Olek and Jelmer on the 24th, and it was a great experience, was so educational which was unexpected and the staff gave lots of helpful tips to deal with sea sickness which meant I enjoyed the trip much more! Olek was also clearly passionate and very knowledgeable on the topic of whales which was amazing to listen too! Plus bumped into Jelmer on the bus in Tromso and he was just a lovely and chatty there too! Wonderful staff
Then today went on aurora dinner cruice and my goodness it was delicious!! Albert, Maria and Tobias were wonderful staff, Tobias was especially wonderful, funny and chatty and great service. Thank you very much to all of the staff! Great experience and a Christmas dinner I won't forget 🎄
Highly recommend both experiences!

Magical and memorable Norther Lights - What an epic experience!! Let’s start with the crew Elli, Alberto and Fani were absolutely fantastic, full of knowledge and really helpful! The food, beautifully presented and very tasty, all the food was fish, I think maybe different choices for children under 16 should be available - but this is a minor critique!!
The boat was clean, and the ride was smooth! We got super lucky during a week of heavy rain that we managed to see the lights, and they were epic!! We saw them dance throughout the whole cruise!
A truly memorable and magical experience

This was an extremely enjoyable trip with very experienced and pleasant staff looking after us all the way. - Top quality hosts, highly enjoyable trip, with good food, history and even the northern lights! Really enjoyed it. Thanks to Sophie, Sara and the bald chap with the beard; can’t remember his name. Can recommend!

Lovely dinner cruise, no lights - Sadly we did not see the Northern Lights due to cloud cover, but I went in expecting to not see the lights so it ended up being a lovely dinner out on the water with the town lights in the distance.
As a solo traveler I had a table to myself and I loved that they didn't try to pair me up with other solo travellers!
The cruise is not an Aurora hunt, so please do not expect the boat to keep moving to find the lights. They do cruise to a location away from the island where they typically see lights but you do just sit there until it's time to go back. The crew are very nice and regaled us with funny and interesting stories about the area. The bar is stocked with some very nice wines and you may get lucky with a generous pour.

Bad weather - Can’t see any aurora due to bad weather and food portion is too small for an adult. Everything else was nice

Great food, just not enough of it. - Great evening with a family, nice boat trip and fantastic food, albeit the portions were a little on the small side. The starter of cured herring was delicious, as was the main of arctic cod, but both courses could have been bigger. The starter was more like an appetiser and the main could have been a large starter. So from that perspective it was a bit overpriced.
However, the atmosphere was great, Albert, Maria and Tobias were great hosts and delivered information and titbits of knowledge in a warm and humorous way, as well as serving us. They are the reason I'm still giving this experience four stars.
There were even a couple of chances to see the Northern lights, but since we were lucky enough to watch an absolutely breathtaking display of those up on Mount Storsteinen two nights prior, the excitement for it from us was somewhat limited.

So so - Don’t go hungry and if you don’t like fish order the vegetarian. The boat was lovely as was the view. They had someone talking (giving an aura lesson) most of the time. It would have been nice just to enjoy the scenery and the company that I went with. Upstairs inside deck was freezing!!

BEWARE: Cruise not as described - would NOT recommend! - Extremely disappointing and not as advertised. The boat left 30 minutes late - there was no apology or acknowledgment of this. Despite this being a northern lights cruise, there was actually minimal mention of them and there was no crew looking out for them. We then arrived back 35 minutes early - also no acknowledgment or apology. When I asked a crew member why the tour was cut so short, they said it was because they had another tour. They also explained that the reason the boat left late was because the previous tour left late. The tour was absolutely not as described, it was extremely rushed, and a complete waste of money! You can’t advertise a 3-4 hour tour and only run it for less than 2.5 hours. The only positive was that the food was nice.
