Magical winter wonderland experience - The experience was second to none. Waking up in a winter wonderland was magical. The food was delicious and all of the staff went the extra mile to make us feel welcomed. The staff were really lovely, informative and kind. Unfortunately the boat had a technical issue and a tug boat had to come and rescue us. That meant that the whale watching wasn’t possible as originally planned. However, the company gave us a full refund which was very generous.

Bucket list whale watching experience - An incredible 24 hours, well worth the cost. The boat is run by fantastic dedicated staff and guides. The food on board is excellent. We had a full 3 hours with the whales and early in the morning, far longer than you will get on any day trip. Due to us having lots of time and staying fairly stationary, the whales also came right up to the boat frequently, and were closer to us than a lot of the smaller boats. We were also lucky to see the Northern Lights (and you can stay in the comfort of the panorama lounge until they are visible and go in and out).

See nature at its best - This was definitely a bucket list trip for me - something I had always been interested in doing. The trip exceeded all of my expectations, even though the clouds did not cooperate, so we only saw faint Northern Lights in Tromso. To compensate, nature gave us great awe-inspiring natural beauty through the landscape we saw on the voyage, and an incredible whale show.
The whole experience was so well-organized, and it felt like traveling with family. The guides and the crew were warm and welcoming, and we felt included as part of the "team" for the time that we were on the ship. The cabin was very comfortable, and the facilities were excellent, including the dining room and the Panorama Lounge. We visited the Captain on the bridge of the ship, and were able to walk all the way around the deck to find the best perspective to see the landscape and the whales. The crew were as excited as we were to see so many whales, and three distinct species. We also saw stunning polar stratospheric clouds. Talks were provided about the Northern Lights and the whales, so I really felt that we were helped to make the most of what we saw and experienced. Toine and Viola were our guides and they were excellent.
There were people on the cruise who had done it before and had come back for more. It is certainly something that I would love to do again. And finally a shout-out to Tromsø itself. While it is the starting and ending point of the cruise, it is lovely in its own right. It was a total pleasure to be in Tromsø for the few days we spent there.

Dreamlike day on the MV Quest - A wonderful day aboard the MV Quest. The staff and food were excellent. Great lectures about whales, northern lights and others. And of course the sighting of the many whales was a great experience. The whales were very close to the ship and we could watch them great. A dreamlike day that we would like to repeat sometime 👏🤗

An incredible experience! - Our experience was wonderful! Unfortunately we didn't see the Northern Lights but the crew made our evening with interesting storys and tasty food unforgettable. The next morning we had a delicious breakfast and were able to spot sooo many whales up from so close! Orcas, humpback whales and even fin whales. After a tasty lunch on the way back we even saw stratospheric clouds! Amazing!! I can 100% recommend it. It's worth every penny, the crew is lovely and knowledgeable and the beds comfy. Don't worry about the light in the polar nights, it's bright enough in the morning to see well.

Great intimate experience - Viola and Jana and all the crew were amazing. We had a small group of only 8 and it felt very intimate and relaxed throughout the cruise. We saw plenty of whales and even got a few glimpses of the northern light despite some clouds. MV Quest is a very well maintained vessel and super comfy. Would definitely come back and highly recommend this cruise.

Excellent value for money, a must trip! - Incredible trip, we weren’t lucky enough to see the northern lights but the super interesting talks from both Jana and Viola made up for it. We did see so many whales though! A once in a lifetime opportunity. Definitely worth the money and will definitely return again. You can never get bored of seeing such amazing sea animals

Most Incredible Trip Ever - This has to be one of the most incredible trips I have ever been on. The boat “The Quest” was perfect in every way. We did the overnight Northern Lights and Morning Whale Watching. The staff on the boat were all so friendly and could not do enough for us. The food was amazing and cabins really comfortable. Finally I would like to say thank you to our hosts Viola and Jana. They both gave such detailed presentations on both the Northern Lights and Whales. I learnt so much from them. In the morning the Whale watching was a lifetime experience come true. We saw so many whales 🐋 and Orcas. They came close to the boat and all morning we were surrounded by them, watching them was surreal. I cannot recommend this trip enough and definitely planning do it again. If you have the opportunity to do this you won’t be disappointed. Thank you to everyone who made our trip so special. These special memories will stay with me forever. Thank you, thank you and thank you. Andreas - Manchester

11/10, would definitely recommend! - I really don’t have enough words to describe how fantastic this little cruise was! Myself and my partner booked shortly before arriving in Tromso not really knowing what to expect - and it couldn’t have been better!
Our group was very small and this allowed for us to become a little team and all get to know each other, whilst also making the boat seem incredibly spacious and uncrowded. A huge plus for me personally as I get quite anxious in busy places.
The Northern Lights appeared in a spectacular fashion, with a huge corona explosion right above our heads the second we walked out on deck! They continued to be visible across the whole sky almost the entire time it was dark, with them coming out again and dancing over the mountains on our way back into port on the second day.
The whale watching was probably the most amazing experience of my life, with hundreds of orca surrounding the boat and humpbacks putting on an incredible breaching display. It felt like we spent hours and hours in their company and even as we left, the orca were still appearing and playing in the ships wake. We also enjoyed watching lots of seabirds wheeling around overhead, including a sea eagle that briefly soared above the deck.
On top of this, the scenery, the food, our guides, Jana and Toine, the staff and crew, the ship and our fellow guests were all incredible and we left really feeling spoilt, content and incredibly lucky. Nothing was too much trouble.
This trip seemed a little spendy initially, but we certainly didn’t feel out of pocket once we’d factored in how much was included in the price and how long we got to spend watching the lights and the whales. We’d go again and again if we were able to!
