The water was a little... - The water was a little choppy on the day we did this but the view was gorgeous. There are prettier fjords in Norway but if you're only in Tromso, this was a fun way to spend a couple of hours. The staff gave some fun, informative talks during the ride to keep you entertained if you prefer not to face the cold air outside.

Wildlife meets history - If you’re looking to see wildlife and learn about history, this is the perfect tour. We enjoyed every minute, thanks to the great guides Tobias and Maria and even spotted two white tail eagles. Very recommendable!

Fantastic tour, highly recommended - This was a phenomenal tour! I booked our tours ahead of time and did not include this one, but kept seeing people lineup at the boat in the mornings right across from our hotel. I did a little research and saw how highly reviewed the company is and we decided to splurge for it on our last day. (It is very reasonably priced, but we had already done a lot of tours at that point so it was a little bit of a splurge.) it ended up being one of my favorite things we did in our whole 10 days in Arctic Norway. We did tours with four different companies and they were all great for different reasons but this one was really fantastic. The boat is comfortable. The scenery is obviously incredible. These guides in particular are really fantastic. It is a crew of young adult Europe who care a lot about sustainability and educating tourists about the Arctic. I learned so much and look forward to returning to Norway and the Brim Explorer again.

Day at sea - This was a very easy and relaxing cruise. It was not over booked!! There were plenty of tables so you could walk outside to view the fjords or sit inside with a large window and have a drink..

The right choice for a fjord tour in Tromsø! - We did the tour in February, departing in the afternoon. The boat was very comfortable and well maintained. We chose this company because the vessel is hybrid, operating part of the tour in silent electric mode, and it was an excellent decision. It’s truly incredible when the boat switches to the quiet electric engine, allowing you to fully connect with the landscape. The crew was exceptional and very attentive. On the day we went, the team included Jelmer, Francesca, Christine, Sara, and Captain Jerome. Throughout the journey, the guides shared information about the region, its history, and marine biology with great knowledge and clarity. There is also a bar on board where you can purchase drinks and some food (very convenient) Our itinerary included a stop at a fishing facility, and during that moment we were lucky enough to spot orcas. It wasn’t a whale-watching tour, and it was already past the main whale season. Still, the guides were attentive and agile: they quickly adjusted the plan, asked everyone to return to the boat, and gave us the opportunity to observe the pod more closely. We could clearly see how the team carefully monitored the orcas’ location and strictly followed ethical wildlife protocols. They approached slowly using only the silent electric engine and observed the animals’ behavior to determine whether it was appropriate to get closer. It was an unforgettable spectacle. We were able to follow the orcas for a while and truly understood why this tour with Brim is so worthwhile. Even without this unexpected moment, we would have left completely satisfied, but this made the experience even more special.

Stunning scenery - A very expensive trip (around 4 hours). A very nice boat, well equipped and friendly knowledgeable staff. good outside viewing areas and also warm interior spaces. Free tea and coffee. Snacks available to buy. Beautiful scenery. Not the traditional fjords that you automatically think of, with the very steep cliffs but still beautiful.

Not worth the price - It was great to see the Fjords, but it was underwhelming after all. No opportunity to explore once docking. You don’t really see much at the “fish farm”. Looks like the set up a scene for a fish farm. Also there is nothing to purchase at the farm lol. They also ran out of their food within 15 minutes of opening the bar.
