Tamokveien 1374 - Embark on the ultimate Tromsø adventure with our comprehensive Arctic activity package at Camp Tamok, located just a picturesque 90-minute bus journey from the city center. Enjoy a day filled with dog sledding, snowmobiling, reindeer encounters, and fire crafting, all in one memorable experience.
Upon arrival, a guide will provide thermal suits, boots, and gloves to ensure warmth in the Arctic winter. Participants will be divided into small groups. One group will meet the sled dogs, learn about their training, and enjoy a dog sledding ride led by expert mushers, while the other group starts with the sled ride before visiting the kennel.
Next, switch to a guided snowmobile ride, sharing a snowmobile with a partner and taking turns driving through the snowy wilderness. While one group rides snowmobiles, the other engages in fire crafting, visits the reindeer, and relaxes with a snack around an open fire. Groups then rotate activities so everyone gets to experience everything.
After a day full of Arctic excitement, return the winter gear and travel back to the city by bus, arriving around 14:30, leaving time for an evening Northern Lights tour or other adventures. Seize the opportunity to enjoy multiple Arctic bucket-list experiences in a single day!

Incredible snowmobile trip - Incredible coach ride, views of snow-covered mountains and waterways. (Sit on righthand side going out, return left side)
Snowmobile was a well-run, exciting adventure in an isolated area with amazing views. Helpful friendly guide to teach and reassure (thank you David).
An exhilarating experience for two 80 year-olds who loved every minute.
Hot drink and soup to warm up afterwards.

Amazing experience - We booked an experience from Tromso to Camp Tamok for snow mobiling and ice domes (snow park). Claudio & Samuel were our snowmobile guides and they were fantastic. The beauty can’t be described. The food was also delicious and even the drive to get here so worth it! We were on the edge of Sweden/Finland/Norway.

Totally worth the Money, awesome experience! - We went on the Snowmobiletour in January 2026 and had an awesome time. First u get warm clothing, then u go on the snowmobiles as 2 and start driving to a training area. At first u learn how to drive there and get a feeling for the snowmobile before u start driving trough the Mountains and experience the insane Landscape as well as the rush from driving the snowmobile on the snowy underground. U get a guided tour and drive around an hour around bevor returning to the camp. Back in the camp u get a fish soup and some break and some coffee/tea to warm up.
All in all the tour fulfilled the expectations and even overcame those. Great tour, expensive, but worth the money, would 10/10 (or here 5/5) recommend!

Mikko the Superguide - There were two of us here last year and it was great! Now we three sisters went back to Camp Tamok and spent a great day on the snowmobile! Our guide ''Mikko'' was great! The calmness in person, very informative and humorous. Really a great experience. Also the food was very delicious, this experience is highly recommended!!!

Snowmobiling around Camp Tamok - Well organised and very safe with clear instructions for driving a snowmobile, even for beginners. The guide (unfortunately I didn’t catch his name, but was French) ensured we all had a safe and rewarding drive. The food offered at the Sami tent was both hearty and warm, with second rounds if you wanted! I would recommend this trip.

Fun time, Amazing Scenery - We enjoyed our snowmobiling experience at Camp Tamok. The transfer from Tromso to the camp was close to our hotel and took about and hour and a half each way. Once there we were fitted in Snowsuits, boots and gloves, we were divided into two groups. We were assigned to Micca. He was a great instructor. He went over how to operate the snowmobile and took us on a test run, making sure everyone was confident and comfortable before getting to ride on the mountain. We stopped for a break about an hour in and he took photos for everyone. Once back at the camp we were treated to a nice lunch (there is a a vegetarian option) After there was a little time to walk around the camp. There is an ice building and we visited with the dogs they have used for sledding.

Good experience - We enjoyed the experience. They give you the overalls, boots, balaclavas, helmet and mittens. It takes an hour and a half from tromso to cam tampok, there a half hour to get dressed, then a little practice with the bikes to learn, and then it is 20 minutes each person of the couple on the bike driving. It is extremely cold so I recommend wearing suitable clothes. Then the soup was great and they let you repeat. We also try typical drinks. The staff was very friendly. The only thing to improve that I would highlight is that once there, you are told to pay insurance of 25 euros per person because if something happens to the motte you would end up paying 8,500 euros. In the end we all pay for it but I think for the price of the experience it should be included.

Almost perfect - The excursion started with a fantastically beautiful 1.5 hour drive to Camp Tamok.
The preparations for the snow-mobile tour went smoothly and well organized. Also riding the snowmobile itself was great!
Afterwards there was delicious soup and tea waiting for us. Again very friendly staff.
Only flaw we found the waiting time between dinner and the bus ride to Tromso. After dinner we had to wait another hour for the bus to leave and that was really too long....
But all things considered it was great!

Snowmobile activity - Enough Boff - We found the short excursion time (about 20-25min drive) with 30-40min break.
The photo is taken in a place where there is no real “spot”.
In addition, the circuit is quite "circular". It is quite expensive.

Disappointed - The activity consists of making circles in the 2 fields adjoining the starting point with a small hike of 15 min in the forest to take a photo!
The experience is really made for a beginner’s initiation and you should not hope to discover the region with this organization.
It is impossible to exceed 20km/h or get off the trail without being stopped and reprimanded!
