- Lipica - The Lipica Stud Farm, one of the oldest in the world, is the birthplace of the Lipizzan horse. Nestled in a unique natural setting, surrounded by enchanting meadows and shaded by oak and chestnut trees, these magnificent white horses are sure to captivate you. A stroll through the stud farm estate feels like a journey through history. The historic manor house and the elegance of the Lipizzan horse transport you back to an era when horse-drawn carriages were the height of travel. For over 400 years, the tradition of breeding these white horses has been maintained in the heart of the distinctive Karst landscape, now one of Slovenia’s most stunning natural and cultural landmarks. During your visit, immerse yourself in the world of the Lipizzan horse, explore the stables, and visit the Lipikum Museum, which is dedicated to the stud and the Lipizzan breed.
- Park Škocjanske jame - The Škocjan Caves in Slovenia, along with the underground river Reka, form the most significant natural wonder of the Karst region and one of the world’s largest underground canyons. Recognized for its outstanding importance, the Škocjan Caves were added to UNESCO’s list of natural and cultural world heritage sites in 1986. Its vibrant underground realm features massive stalactites, rushing water, and stunning lakes. During your visit, marvel at the world’s largest underground canyon and cross the bridge 40 meters above the subterranean river. The panoramic view at the cave’s exit is sure to leave you in awe. Finally, explore the Škocjan Caves Regional Park, an open-air museum renowned for its ethnological, karstological, geological, and archaeological significance, as well as its natural and cultural heritage. Visitors can wander through the park and relish the pristine nature.

Interesting Combination of Activities - The full day was great in whole. The caves are beautiful-definitely a sight you should see. There were a lot of students on trips but it's fine because you get put into a group with your own language guide. Horses are breathtaking and the history is interesting I wish we went on a day where the horses were "working" meaning you could ride them. We went on a Monday so that is the resting day for the Lipica horses-they train and trot all other days. Despite that, we had a lovely tour of the farm and interacted with the horses in their stables and learned about these unique majestic creatures. Pick up and drop off was right on time - car was comfortable and our guide found a good place for us to have lunch before taking us back into Trieste
