Your river guide will entertain you until the end of your journey where the river runs into the Caribbean Sea. You will then be taken to Bamboo Beach Club for some fun in the sun. Relax on a complimentary beach chair and enjoy light entertainment and fun cocktail demonstrations. You’ll be treated to a selection of house beverages including rum punch and lemonade. Plus enjoy a 4-course tapas lunch served beachside featuring a menu of jerk chicken, festivals, plantains, banana fritters, and more.
- Children under 6 will ride in larger inner tubes and have to sit in parent’s lap.
- Maximum weight is 280 lbs.
- We recommend bringing the following: Towel, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, water shoes, change of clothing (optional), and cash/credit cards.
- Drive time to River Tubing and Beach Club is approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic.

River Fun - I'll start with the great! Carlos, our guide and driver, was amazing. Very friendly and we enjoyed his commentary. Highly recommend him as a tour guide.
Next, the river guide, Duane was friendly and informative and we felt very safe throughout the whole river run. Crazy how they ride stomach down on their tubes and guide us here and there like that!
Bamboo Beach Club was very nice. We had chairs reserved for us )thru the tour) which made it nice to get off the bus and go right to our chairs. The included lunch was good...jerk chicken and yellow ride. Drinks were cold and strong and yummy!
Now, getting to all that goodness was not as pleasurable. The chaos at the port led to us not leaving there until after 10:15. After rushing off the ship, there were plenty of people there who worked for Bamboo Beach club, but only a few had any idea what was going on. They took buses and buses of VIP Beach Club people to THEIR buses, while we stood there as there were only 11 of us it seemed they were looking for a smaller bus to take just us (that is how we got the wonderful Carlos...he has his own bus/company that Regae/Bamboo Beach must have contracted to take us)
The ride to the river was closer to 50 minutes (only 2 ships docked in Ocho Rios) therefore setting us back even further. Becasue of the delays we had zero time to shop at port when we got back. A 5 hour excursion took 6.5 mostly due to the chaos at the port. I realize they are a secondary excursion vendor and would not be give priority for set up to receive passengers, but a better system of getting off and onto buses needs to be implemented. I will also say, they were the ones in charge of getting even the Carnival excursions onto buses...definitely not efficient like Carnival usually is.
The tour, the guides/driver and the river run was amazing and worth it for sure.

Tubing rafting and Beach day - Fantastic day .Picked up prompt at the cruise terminal .Rafting with Andre at river and 4 other cruisers .Fun and safe.
Ali and Shan were our guides and hostesses at the beach .They made sure we had great food and free flowing drinks.
Beach clean and safe with plenty of beds ,chairs,shade.
A trip to do when you are in Jamacia .

Chco Rios - David's and Nye both were excellent. Water tubing was great even with the storm coming through. Nye provided excellent service with the helpers on her team all were very friendly 😀. Great job

Tubing/Beach break - We had a great time doing this excursion. Lia, our tour guide was very friendly and accommodating. Only thing we would change is to have more time at the beach club, but overall it was relaxing. The jerk chicken was delicious and I highly recommend it. The drinks were tasty and the staff were on top of things. I would return and do the beach club day pass.

Great tubing - skip bamboo beach club! - Great tubing fun! It was s great laugh and adventure for all the family! Would have skipped bamboo beach club! It was filthy and overrated.

A lovely beach, great food & drinks - not quite ‘VIP’ as is claimed - A fantastic afternoon spent with the Bamboo Beach club team on the river tubing followed by a relaxing stop on the beach. The beach is really lovely, although the beds are all fairly close together and it doesn’t feel as luxury and ‘VIP’ as they claim to be. The free drinks were delicious, and the food was plentiful and all amazing. We have all been dreaming of the jerk chicken spring rolls since we left! The water is nice and warm, even in January. Worth a visit for sure!
