- Travnik - If you haven’t had a chance to enjoy a cup of coffee, don’t worry! The ideal spot for traditional Bosnian coffee is “Plava Voda” (blue water springs).
- Fortress of Jajce - Our next stop is the city of Jajce, an open-air museum with a waterfall at its center. As you walk towards the Jajce Fortress and pass through the city gates, you’ll enter a city built for kings. The Fortress of Jajce is part of the Old Town of Jajce and a marvel of Bosnian Medieval architecture.
- Catacomb of Jajce - The Catacombs of Jajce, as named by locals, refer to an underground Christian small church, so it is not a “catacomb” in the true sense. The church is carved from a single rock or cave in a late Romanesque style.
- Pliva Waterfall - What makes the city of Jajce unique is the opportunity to see and experience the magnificent 21-meter-tall waterfall, ranked among the 12 most beautiful in the world.
- Mlincici - The watermills located on the Pliva River are just 5 kilometers from the center of Jajce. Twenty watermills, dating back to the medieval period, are built between the Small and Large Pliva lakes. With their fairy-tale appearance, they provide a fantastic setting for photos. Amazingly, some of them are still in use.
After visiting the watermills, we relax by the banks of Pliva Lake, the perfect place to enjoy lunch and prepare for our return to Sarajevo.
