Setting Sail from Trapani

The Egadi Islands have long been on my list of must-visit destinations, and the opportunity to explore them through the Egadi Islands Tour was one I couldn’t pass up. As a marine biologist, the allure of these islands’ unique marine ecosystems was irresistible. Arriving at the port of Trapani, I was greeted by a vibrant crew whose enthusiasm was infectious. The beach near the port was a perfect spot for a refreshing swim, and the crystal-clear waters were a testament to the island’s pristine environment.

Back on board, we embarked on a tour of Favignana’s coastline, stopping at breathtaking coves like Scalo Cavallo, Cala Rossa, and Bue Marino. Each cove had its own unique charm, and the opportunity to swim in these secluded spots was a highlight of the trip. The crew prepared a typical Trapani lunch, which was both delicious and a delightful way to experience the local cuisine.

Enchantment at Levanzo

Our next destination was the enchanting island of Levanzo. The small village was picturesque, and the island’s tranquility was a welcome contrast to the bustling life of Favignana. I wandered through the village, soaking in the serene atmosphere and admiring the simple beauty of the island.

The boat tour around Levanzo was nothing short of magical. We explored the Faraglione di Levanzo and picturesque coves like Cala Fredda and Cala Minnola. The crew’s attention to detail and genuine care for our experience made the day truly special. Their warmth and hospitality created a sense of belonging, making it easy to relax and enjoy the moment.

As we sailed back to Trapani, I reflected on the day’s adventures.
