• Aquila Private Game Reserve - Begin your adventure with a morning pickup between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM from your accommodation in Cape Town (please be ready by 7:50 AM). Sit back and enjoy a picturesque drive through the rolling landscapes and mountain passes of the Western Cape as you head to Aquila Private Game Reserve — home to Africa’s renowned Big 5.

Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome drink before embarking on a 2–3 hour guided safari in an open 4x4 vehicle. Led by an experienced ranger, you’ll have the chance to see lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, and leopards, as well as zebras, giraffes, springboks, and numerous bird species freely roaming the reserve.

After the game drive, indulge in a delightful buffet-style lunch at the reserve’s restaurant before beginning your return journey. On the way back, pause at one of the Cape Winelands’ charming estates for a relaxing wine tasting experience, where you can sample a selection of local wines amidst stunning vineyard views.

Aquila Safari provides an incredible chance to witness the Big 5 and enjoy the stunning African wilderness. Please be aware that the entrance fee to the reserve is not part of the tour package. This fee, approximately R2390 per person, must be paid directly at the Aquila office on the morning of the safari. The adventure starts with a scenic drive through the mountains.

Upon arrival, guests are greeted with refreshing drinks and a delightful buffet breakfast before embarking on a 2.5-hour guided 4x4 safari. With the guidance of an expert, participants should watch for lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and possibly even a leopard if fortune favors them.

Following the safari, guests can relax and enjoy a delicious buffet lunch featuring local flavors. The journey continues to the Cape Winelands, where visitors can unwind with a wine tasting at a charming estate. They can savor some of the region’s finest wines while enjoying breathtaking views of vineyards and surrounding mountains.
